Yeah we had some pretty heavy rain going on here this morning around 4-5am but it was done by 6-7am. Still a little wet and overcast. Waiting for the sun to make an appearance but not sure if it's in the cards today.

Hey, JR - I wasn't sold on Nishi after I saw him in Spring Training. I live in Ft. Myers and hung out at the fields nearly every day, so I saw this guy up close a ton. Anyway, I swore that he looked like he was just learning how to field grounders. So far, Nishi is making a lot of errors and not hitting that well. I expect him to struggle at the plate a little, but his fielding must be MLB-level right outta the gate, and it hasn't been. Hope I'm wrong (I usually am!)

He seems to be more at home at ss, wasn't impressed at all with him at second.

Well, Nishi isn't the focal point of this game right now and he promptly gets a hit. Gotta figure he's gonna get his hits as he gets stronger...just hope he plays better in the field. Remember Nick Punto? He couldn't hit but he had a great glove. What if Nishi is just the opposite? Yikes!
