WR Chris Givens has been traded to the Baltimore Ravens for a 7th round draft pick. It's no surprise since he hardly sees the field anymore.

There are two reports on the return to the Rams. ESPN's Adam Shefter says the Rams receive a 2017 7th round draft pick. CBS Sports says the return is a conditional late round pick.

Oh I get it, our offense is SO good right now that we can afford to get rid of pieces  :tsk: and to get rid of him for a 7th? why bother? just keep him

That was a stupid trade. Givens is playing pretty well and is just now emerging as a good receiver. So what we do, instead of getting at least 5th rounder, we sell him down the river for a 7th of which we will do nothing with in the future just like the last couple of years where we basically gave away those later rounders except for Bryce Hager this year. Fisher and his guys are so entrenched that now Snead is dismantling a fragile offense. Turn this offense over to Garcia so that they can implement these extra receivers. Damn stupid!

I think Givens was worth a lot more than a 7th round draft pick. The guy has speed to burn and can catch the long ball. Rams don't use anybody the right way. Givens will probably be a star WR now.

I agree Chilipepper. Just watch. His career will now take-off like so many other ex-Rams that have left to have their careers flourish and some even obtain superbowl rings with other clubs such as Madison Hedgecock with the Giants and Mike Hoomanawaunui and Danny Amendola with the Patriots just last year. Amendola, BTW is have a great year this year as being one of Tom Brady's go-to guys. The Rams are fast becoming the laughingstock of the league again with insanity like this trade.

With Steven Smith going down, the Ravens didn't call Chicago to inquire about Jeffreys. Noooo, they call the buffoons with the Rams and all sure, we cough-up Givens and sell him down the River for next to nothing. This is why we are perceived around the league like we are. Granted teams fear our defense like the recent interview here in Phoenix with Larry Fitzgerald, but generally, the Rams are perceived as lame, weak, and easy to get people when you need them.

This article now speculates that the next to go might be Tavon Austin and/or Stedman Bailey because Bailey will be the 4th over-achieving receiver to not see much playing time. Austin may hang around because of his punt returning ability but Bailey may be the next guy they move. The other reason Givens was traded is because Trey Watts comes off his four-game suspension Monday. Fisher's guys are becoming firmly entrenched and his stubborness and loyalty are going to be the death nail of this club. I thought the fire sale was in Chicago?

If they trade Bailey, I'm going to be REALLY pissed off!!! The guy has done nothing but produce when called upon. As for Tavon, what could we possibly get for him that would be worth it. Plus, I would think Foles would get pretty pissed losing these guys as targets...

Well, how often is it that any moves made for the offense make any sense? Haven't understood much they've done with this offense since Fisher took over.

Here's what I don't get, we basically have the wealthiest owner in the NFL, if you add his wife, he is for sure...With those type of resources, we should be able to build a winner faster than ANYONE!!! am I wrong here?

Yes I know there's a salary cap, but I mean Coaching, Front office, Scouting, etc...

Worse case, Givens was one of the fastest guys on the team, why wasn't he at least returning kickoffs?

But they are returning punts, not kickoffs, Givens could have done that instead of Pead!
