Not sure what we appreciate, we hardly knew ya. Well I guess we appreciate giving up a 4th next year and gaining a 5th to be hospitable to you in camp this year.

(We signed OC James Ferentz and TE Michell Henry to take Gradkowski and Ball's spots.)

James Ferentz interesting. Good fit former Texan also son of Iowa HC Kirk Ferentz.

I never understood the Gradkowski signing, other than the Kubiak connection

With that said, Kubiak saw how he played last season

It's a good sign that Paradis, and esp Garica, are the real deals

Gradkowski was a trade not signing. Maybe making it worse but just a swap in picks. Ferentz is better anyway.

Gradkowski turned out to be pointless - sorry for him.

Plus we paid Ferentz to be a spy in the Pats camp.

I am a stickler when it comes to sports. Not so much when it comes to other things. ;)

Plus we paid Ferentz to be a spy in the Pats camp.

That was his brother Brian Ferentz.

Brian Ferentz is on the Iowa coaching staff now. He brought over DJ Hernadez, brother of yes, yours turely Aaron Hernandez who Brian got to know while in New England.

The Ferentz show up every where. There is still one more playing at Iowa too.

Hell, Now kirk will end up on the Broncos staff and we will start drafting Iowa players.

We got this now!

P.S. Brian Ferentz also turned down a job with the Texans to stay at Iowa last year.

The Texans and Patriots had great ties with the Ferentz, now come the Broncos! ;)

Gino's signing fit Peyton Manning's pizza commercials - product placement - Peyton style. ;)

Have to remember at the time of making that trade that it was before the draft and having Garcia plus the team didn't know what they had in Paradis. So it made sense at the time to get a guy that Kubiak knew well and a guy that knew the offense Kubiak would want to run to help teach the other guys. Thankfully though we had some young guys show great talent to the point we didn't need him. It was a risk to trade and one that yes today didn't work out but if Paradis hadn't improved over the off season then we could have been stuck with jack squat at the Center position.

I would have to see more of Day to agree or disagree with this statement.

Could be true. Just not sure. Hopefully both Ferentz and Day develop into something good for us.

Dead money wise he cost us nothing. Matt Prater is our most expensive dead money hit at $812,500 with Montee Ball costing us next at $349,878. Right now Broncos are 2nd in least dead money against the Cap. The Bengals are the best in the NFL with only $1,077,848 in dead money.
