:noidea: but probably. He only played in 15 games in 2019, 21 games in 2020 and 61 games in 2021 (MLB and MiLB combined).
He hit well in AAA this year but the Yankees obviously moved on.
We don’t have a big need for a 3B moving forward (either Schmitt or Luciano), but on the surface, he looks like a good flyer candidate.

He's played a bit in left field. He hasn't really had much of a chance to follow up his 2018 breakout season. I'd be okay with him getting picked up but I do wonder if he would turn out like Trauchman.

Since the game where he homered in Chicago, Joey Bart is 2 for 26 (.077) with 13 strikeouts and 1 walk. He has -48 wRC+ in this span.

Might have something to do with giving Wynns starts?

Chicken/egg.

I believe the churn effects players mental states, but that can also be over-stated. I suspect there is some kind of health issue with Bart. No other reason to play Wynns as much as he been played. Wynns is not a good player.

J.D. Davis’ 157 wRC+ ranks 11th among NL hitters (min. 100 PA) since 8/1

Joc Pederson is 3rd with a 172 wRC+ in that same time span.

The Giants bullpen has posted a 3.15 ERA in September so far, which ranks as the 6th-best mark in baseball. The results shouldn't change the fact that the Giants need to upgrade the bullpen in the offseason but it feels like they've found a leverage reliever in Scott Alexander. Alex Young could be a medium-leverage reliever. Would be nice to see Shelby Miller 1-2 more times

Unfortunately, they have no leverage on Alexander. He is a full UFA this off season.

Jharel Cotton has been a nice find so far. He saved the bullpen by pitching 2.2 solid innings tonight, giving him 3 nice appearance with the Giants. Cotton has a 3.00 ERA since the start of 2021 and has shown a noticeable spike in change up usage, which has generally been a good pitch for him.

I think he is a lock for next year’s team. No idea why he was DFA’d

Tyler Rogers has allowed an average exit velocity of 84 MPH among batted balls, which ranks as second- best in baseball among qualified pitchers.

It has been an up-and-down season for Rogers but he’s finishing the season on a positive note and will have a nice stat line to go with it (3.68 ERA/3.48 FIP).

Thomas Szapucki has looked good since being traded to the Giants. He has allowed just 3 earned on 16 strikeouts against 2 walks across 11.2 innings. That'll play. Szapucki flashes a mid-90's 4S FB to go along with a high-spin curveball. There are some ingredients for him to become a leverage reliever.

That is already looking like one of the more lopsided trades in memory

Just to contextualize how good Shohei Ohtani is for Giants fans: His pitching bWAR (5.8) alone is higher than Rodón’s (5.3). Now imagine if Rodón also hit 34 home runs.

John Brebbia will start tomorrow, making his 10th appearance as the opener. The Giants expect Carlos Rodón and Alex Cobb to start the final two games.

Camilo Doval was dominant in September as he recorded a 1.38 ERA with 9 saves and 16 strikeouts in 13 appearances. This is the second time he has been named Reliever of the Month
