Yeah...Matt Cooke is an example of a guy cleaning up his act and it paying off for the most part. He still hits hard, but is smart about it, and has done fairly well on offense this season.

Ya Matt Cooke is a great example. Only took a few other players careers to be ended by cheap shots for him to understand he cant do that stuff.

As far as what Burke was saying and implying Marchand is that type of player. I disagree. Marchand stands up for himself and has dropped the mits. Unlike the Vancouver players today.

Sportsnet was saying something about an automatic 10 game suspension so I guess that was step 1 to get out of that. And as it should be. Refs got that one wrong as both teams were in the middle of a change. Call could have gone against Vancouver just as easily.
