Per the radio announcers, that makes 8 straight wins for the Giants at doggy stadium. WIN!

Bumgarner and the Giants Breeze past the Dodgers 3-1

It was a wonderful night in L.A. with just a hint of a 7 mph breeze flowing through the park. It was Madison Bumgarner who breezed right by the Dodgers throwing his country strong 8 innings. His line on the night was simply awesome ...8 IP 1 ER 4 H 8 SO and 1 BB. Bum flexed his muscles all night and when Puig unloaded a HR to center and did a little bit of a pimp job on it Bum showed exception to it and came down off the mound to confront Puig . Puig let loose with a few choice words of his own and hot damn we got ourselves a good old Giants vs. Dodgers rivalry.

It felt like the Giants controlled the game all night and then in the 5th inning Crawford launched a 2 run HR to right that took the wind right out of the Dodgers sails. The Giants added a run in the 6th inning on a Arias infield single that scored Pence which was plenty for Bumgarner and the Giants who took Game 2 of this series and now are 6-2 on this Magical Mystery Tour. They guaranteed themselves at least a 6-4 trip which is nice but the hunger on this Giants team is tremendous and they will want to eat again the next two days.

The downer of the night was that Brandon Belt was hit by a pitch on his thumb which was broken. No word yet on how long he will be out of action and all Giants fans wish him a speedy recovery.

The table is set for Saturday's game where Cain is scheduled to go and he should be fired up for this start in L.A. Hopefully his finger is healed and he can go deep into the game. Another top notch performance by the Giants as they try and put their feet on the Dodgers throats and send a message to the team with one of the highest payrolls in MLB. Tempers are hot between these two teams which should be good theatre this weekend.

Go Giants !!

That right there is an ace, being ace-like

For me, today put Bum firmly in the position, it's his staff now. And the dude's 24

And losing Belt for 4+ weeks does suck, but it doesn't feel like a gutshot the way it would to a couple other guys in the lineup...even Morse would feel worse...
