Edelman has a chest injury.
Questionable to return.

The way he was acting looked like a rib to me. Hopefully just a bone bruise?

How the hell do you call intentional grounding on a ball that was knocked down at the line by a defensive player?

Defense was great all game, the offense was good for a quarter or so... a slop-fest otherwise.

Running game is an issue, Devlin or not.

Belichick will be tearing these guys down this week.

Honestly after watching three games I think part of the problem with the run game might be the play calling (something I’m usually loathe to point out) and the way other teams are defending our backs. When Sony’s in the game the D’s have constantly been selling out to stop him, which is why Brady is absolutely shredding on play action and Sony has nowhere to run when he does get the ball. When Rex goes in teams aren’t loading the box expecting pass and lo and behold Rex seems to have a lot more room to run on his handoffs. We heard all through camp how much Sony had improved catching the ball...time to start utilizing him that way once in awhile to keep D’s honest.

Sony had a fantastic pass rush pickup on the catch and run by Izzo. He’s improved there, too. Don’t make him one dimensional!

Gotta give the Jets front seven credit, those guys are stout and fast at LB.... and like him or not, Gregg William's is a good DC.

Still impressed by the defense. I know the competition so far hasn’t been great but this defense is solid.

Brady seemed off on a lot of his passes.

Gordon is fantastic.

Not impressed with Gunner so far. Even before his horrible fumble. But I guess it’s better than Edelman or someone important getting hurt back there.

If Gostkowski costs us a big game because of a missed extra point, I’m gonna kick his nuts right in the face.

Stidham..... no bueno.

Again.. love this defense so far!

Stidham in for the Pats.

Immediately out.. I am so happy I didn't see him play today as I was driving home.... So I could swear and my parents wouldn't kick me out of the house as I was visiting the rents this weekend

I'm rewatching the game. I was installing a new storm door and of course the door frame is custom sheet metal made in 1956 and when I had the house insulated and sided in 2005, they sided over the under-lap flashing, So putting in anew door took 4-1/2 hours instead of 45 minutes. I have a second one that has to be done tomorrow but now I know all of the ins and outs so it should only take 3-1/2 hours.

Anyway, I kept walking in the house to catch the game. When the Pats were up 23-0 I knew the penalties were going to start because the Jets are the Jets and the league does not not want the new York money pit to stay home. The Giants and Jets both stink and the last thing the league wants is to see them lose revenue because the league loses revenue. Stidham throwing the pick six had Las Vegas cheering so loud, I could hear it in New Hampshire.

Still, the defense is great.

I turned the TV over to the Red Zone and the Bills are NOT a cupcake. They play brutally tough at home and the Patriots will be in Buffalo next week.

Hey Josh.....yeah you, McDaniels................No more sweep handoffs from the shotgun........gezuz that play hasn't work for three years, time to put it in the trash can.

My only issue with Gunner is decision making. He fair catches when he should return it and vice versa.

It may have been me who jinxed him on that fumble? I had just mentioned he'd been getting lit up yet always holding onto the ball.

Give Stidhman a chance. That's his first big league action. Looked ok before the pick. He screwed a lot of bettors with that throw:lm:

Our opponents on the year are a combined 0-9 it's fair to question how good this team is, right?

Nope, nor is it fair to annoint them as favorites to win the super bowl.

You beat the teams you are supposed to beat and so far we have checked three boxes. No more, no less.

The Patriots' defense has averaged giving up 1 point per game.

Special Teams have allowed 7

Offense has allowed 7

The Bills may be better gauge of how good the Patriots are. The Bills are 3-0. They've scored 66 points or 22 points per game and have given up 47 points or 16 points per game. Then again, their opponents are 1-8.

Beat the Giants(1-2) 17-16
Beat the Jets(0-3) 28-14
Beat the Bengals(0-3) 21-17

Three boxes against teams with three losses each. I get it you can only play who the league schedules, but IMO it's tough to get a real gauge of how good something is until it comes up against something close to the same level.
