Day to Day
In his 19 year career, Tom Brady has lost only nine games in December. 5 of thselosses have come in Miami.
Discussion on Boston Sports Tonight about the problem the Patriots have had in the past playing in Miami:
Heat. Especially in December. Temps are generally in the mid to upper 80's and sometimes 90's. This year the dome in Foxboro is being repaired and getting a new turf. All practices have been at 35 degrees or below. The Humidity in Miami will be around 60-70%. The forecast for this weekend hasn't changed since Monday:
Sun
DEC 9
83°65°
Mostly Cloudy
20%
SSW 15 mph
76%
They pretty much have said that the Patriots have not been under much pressure when they've played in Miami in September or December. One big difference is that the Dolphins usually have a better than average defense. This year they don't have the DL that they normally have and that could be a huge difference if they don't pressure Brady. The OL has to to get hydrated today and before the game starts tomorrow and there has to O2 readily available between sets for both the OL and DL. Staying hydrated will be critical.
Dolphins are 5-1 at home. The wins were against the Titans, Raiders, Bears, Jets and Bills. They lost to the Lions in their one loss at home. They're 1-5 on the road against the Pats, Texans, Packers, Colts and Bengals. Have to say the road schedule has been much more difficult than their home schedule. Their one road win was against the Jets. Dolphins biggest win spread has been 8 points. Their biggest points scored was 31 against the Bears. Their worst defeat was 42-23 against the Texans at Houston.
The Patriots MUST get off quick and score TDs not FGs. If they can get up by 14 quickly, the Dolphins will abandon any running to catch up and the Patriots should be able to take advantage.
I think that the patriotsare serious and should be ready. 34-21.
