Buffalo is an enigma. They play like a playoff team one week and a Level C Pop Warner team the next.

Weather report says that it will be partly vcloudy in Buffalo next Sunday with the temps in the low 40's.
Weather should not be a factor.

Tyrod Taylor is back at QB. He had 183 yards passing yesterday with 1 TD. Buffalo beat the Kansas City Chiefs 16-10. Alex Smith threw an INT on the Chiefs final drive that gave the Bills the win. The Bills are not an explosive offensive team and they struggle to score any points. Their defense keeps them in games and has been the force that has given them the opportunity to win most of their games.

The Bills are hanging in the #8 playoff spot this week. A loss to the Patriots might kick them back to #9 so they have a lot of incentive to play hard.

Pats are dinged up a bit................31-13 should be pretty close. * weeks in a row keeping an opponent to 17 points or under.

Waiting to see the injury report.

The game will feel close at times, but Bills are no match (obviously).

Latest injury report..................

LaAdriann Waddle left Gillette yesterday with his foot in a boot. Sprained Ankle. Not severe, but bad enough to require support.

Nate Ebner.....OUT. Knee injury similar to Edelman. May be done for the rest of the year. Not good, critical member of the Special Teams.

Carl Van Noy......Seen walking around would not speak with media. Status is unknown until Wednesday.

Tre Flowers........Spoke with the media and says he'll be 100% next week. He was walking around, joking and appeared to be fine.

Marcus Cannon has been out for a month with a sprained ankle. Time to suck it up and be a big boy and play some football. Waddle was playing so well that Cannon was beginning to appear to have lost his spot at RT.

Losing Van Noy would be huge in my opinion. Hope he's ok.

Ebner is a big loss. He plays on all 6 special teams units and will be missed.

Good news concerning Nan Noy and Flowers. Both have been playing very well and the D can't afford to take any more hits.

Hopefully Cannon will be able to go next week. If his injury is a high ankle sprain though, that's is troublesome. They take a looong time to heal.

Not that yesterday's injuries were the result of cheap shots, but the fucking Dolphins were shameless in their attempts to hurt people yesterday and I suspect it will be worse by a lot when they meet again in two weeks.

Hey guys how about the piggyback ride with Gronk?
In the post game interview, "we got yelled at".
Guess we won't see more of that LOL.

Anyone else notice that injuries and illnesses in Foxboro take a lot fucking longer to recover from than the rest of the world??

How bad did Rowe tear his groin that he missed 2 months?
How bad is Cannon's "sprained" ankle that you miss a month?
How sick was Andrews that he had to be sent home and miss 2 games?

Like WTF...get a new team Dr. or something.

The Pats haven't lost since week four when Stephon Gilmore did all he could to hand Carolina the game so whatever they're doing is working. Also, four of their last five games have been blowouts. Maybe Bill just feels good about the team and is saving some guys for later.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Remember when the Buffalo Bills sat alone atop the AFC East after the first month of the season?

So much for that.

In the two months since the Bills held a one-game advantage in the standings over the slow-to-start New England Patriots, the two division foes have traded places. As the teams' first meeting of the season approaches Sunday at New Era Field, the Bills (6-5) and Patriots (9-2) appear headed in opposite directions.

Consider where both teams stood through Week 4. The Bills were 3-1 and owned a stifling defense that was holding teams to a league-best 13.5 points per game. The Patriots had stumbled to 2-2 and were lost on defense, allowing 32 points per game -- second-to-last in the league.

Then, following a familiar script that has seen the Patriots win the division 14 of the past 16 seasons, New England hit the accelerator as the competition faded.

Since Week 5, the Patriots are 7-0 and have given up the NFL's fewest points per game, 13.14, over that span.

The Bills are 3-4 and saw the bottom fall out on their defense over a three-game losing streak before patching things back together for a 16-10 win Sunday over the Kansas City Chiefs. Even after that bounce-back victory, the Bills have allowed 29.4 points per game since Week 5, tied with Denver as the worst mark in the league.

Despite some early promise, the Bills have little shot of overtaking the Patriots for their first AFC East title since 1995.

The most realistic shot for Buffalo to qualify for the postseason for the first time since 1999 would be as a wild card. The second-place finisher in the AFC South between the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars has the inside track at one spot, and the Bills face stiff competition from the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers for the final AFC spot in the playoffs.

The Patriots, at 9-2, have a clear path to the No. 1 seed if they can defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15. New England cannot lock up the AFC East with a win Sunday over the Bills, but a victory would put them on the doorstep of doing so. The Patriots would need either a win or a Buffalo loss in Week 14 to lock up the division.

Slip-ups by the Patriots late in the season are rare. Since 2007, the Patriots own by far the NFL's best record in December, 37-6. Their .860 winning percentage is the best for any team during any month for the regular season over that time.

The December dominance of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady is well established, but how the Bills assembled by first-year coach Sean McDermott and first-year general manager Brandon Beane play over the final month of the season remains to be seen. Performances of past regimes is not encouraging. The Bills are 16-27 in December since 2007, tied for 26th in the NFL.

Floundering after Thanksgiving has been an annual tradition in Buffalo during a 17-year playoff drought. In some seasons, the disappointing end has followed encouraging starts similar to Buffalo's early jump this season. The Bills are 20-18 in September since 2007, the only month in which the franchise has a winning record.

The Bills have a chance Sunday to show their hot start was not a fluke and they again belong in the same conversation with the Patriots, but history will not be on their side.

Probably need to pick up an OL with all the injuries and illness. One of the million DB's on the PS probably gets a call up to fill Ebner's spot, or maybe the thinner Hollister twin, who has the rep of being good on ST's.

Prob right, but you have to admit, it takes longer in Foxboro than most places...
