The biggest problem is that it's never discussed openly and honestly. We, human beings, don't understand it and fear it as the end to everything. And it is if you have no faith in anything else. I feel for you @redseat, but you have to have to help the person that's going to pass on, accept the inevitable. We're all on our way to the same finish. I died once already in 2005. It was damn peaceful. No lights, no angels, no pearly gate, no relatives to greet me. Just a very calm and peaceful place that I didn't want to leave. Then I came back. All I can say about it.

I have PTSD and I've learned to control my gremlins by concentrating on a single thing. I mentally repeat something I'm looking at.

pen, pen, pen......................don't stop looking at it or saying what it is. I swear after one or two minutes you'll stop and start looking at something else and your heart will slow down and you'll feel much better and the shit that's been bothering you will be pushed aside.
