I agree with both of y'all to an extent. After my sister in law was killed by a drunk driver, my tolerance for such is absolute zero. If you drink, stay the fuck home. End of story. No excuses. That kinda shit has the potential to tear families apart.

Alabama Crimson Tide defensive lineman Jonathan Taylor was arrested Saturday on suspicion of criminal mischief and domestic violence, per Cecil Hurt of the Tuscaloosa News.

Hurt also posted a copy of the news release from the Tuscaloosa Police Department showing Taylor's mugshot and the charges levied against him.

The Georgia Bulldogs dismissed Taylor from the team last July after being charged with aggravated assault/family violence.

He enrolled at Alabama after spending time at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. At the time Crimson Tide athletic director Bill Battle released a statement regarding the decision to bring Taylor to the school, per Edward Aschoff and Mark Schlabach of ESPN.com:

"In this particular situation, we thoroughly investigated numerous sources regarding the young man. I had extensive discussions with several people who have been very close to him, including a lengthy visit with this young man. Our coaches and I feel he is worthy of a second chance at completing his college football career at this level, and that he fully understands the position in which he has placed himself."

In March 2014, Taylor was also one of four Bulldogs players charged with theft by deception.

He projected to be a key member of the Alabama defense in 2015. Drew Champlin of AL.com wrote in February that Taylor projected to be the Crimson Tide's starting nose guard after the graduation of Brandon Ivory.
