Listed below are about half of the unrestricted and restricted wide receivers in the NFL. Some may be too expensive for the Patriots, but there are others that I wonder of they'd take a pay cut tp play with Tom Brady and possibly win a Super Bowl Ring. Some may be a little long in the tooth and just want one more big payday. I've starred my favorites who I hope the Pats at least call and talk to.

One can dream. But I doubt the Pats get sign anybody of significance this free agency (assuming they resign key personnel). They do need a burner as a bonus. But don't do it til the draft and don't do it in the first round lol

Belichick always surprises everyone with something. Signing a downfield pass catcher like Torry Smith would sure be a surprise, but I'd be just as happy with Brandon Tate....8^)

Why would you be happy with Brandon Tate? The Pats drafted him in 2009. His stats in Cinci are mediocre at best. Wasn't Greg Salas on this team a couple years ago and we cut him?

As for the big names; Thomas, Bryant, Smith and Cobb, are all pipe dreams. but I agree with you...gotta kick those tires.

Are you thinking WR because of DA? Do you think he gets moved or something?

If DA stays, we're set with what they got. DA has been nothing but clutch in this year's playoffs.

According to Bill, Amendola was having a hard time getting on the field with our rotation mostly set. When he got on at the playoffs, he has performed well. He is doing a great job on kick returns too. I think someone would consider restructuring his contract - with a lot of incentives.....

Tyms has not been able to get playing time either. He gets a full season next year to try to get more playing time? If Dobson gets injured in pre-season(hamstring, groin, foot) do you wait for him again?
We really could have used a receiver down the stretch that is ready to plug-and-play. Amendola appeared to be the only one ready?????

It makes no sense for the Pats go spend big money on wide receivers. Brady makes the most average WR look all-pro. Although it would make his job easier if they could find someone to stretch the field. But by no means should this be a priority.

Spend it on defense, i.e. Revis.

I don't see anyone on that list that jumps out. Maybe Danarius Moore from Oakland, as he has speed and has shown flashes in the past. But I don't think the WR corps needs another major addition. I think DA needs to stay and I hope he does. He is the only guy that can do what Edelman does should Edelman get injured, and since the Pats passing attack centers around JE and RG, if one goes down the offense becomes predictable.

If Dobson can get healthy that is the addition we need to this group not some guy new to the system. Maybe they swap out Tyms with someone that is a deep threat like Moore I mention above, but any bodies here are for competition not necessarily a replacement.

If DA restructures the incentives need to be attainable based on a healthy JE, not should DA see the field more due to injury as DA was outstanding when given his opportunities. He didn't see the field because of schemes, not because he didn't know what he was doing.

Crabtree would be interesting if he could ever get his head out of his ass.

I'm not convinced that Tyms can't be the deep threat. He did not start the season and did not get much playing time once the offense had gelled. Let Tyms and Dobson earn some playing time in preseason.

I am somewhat surprised but I don't want anybody on that list.....
