Players Bengals Should Resign

Nick Vigil OLB 27 CIN TBD $777,657 UFA
Andrew Billings DT 24 CIN TBD $718,961 UFA
Brandon Wilson S 26 CIN TBD $645,000 RFA

Players to Trade

A.J. Green WR 32 CIN TBD $15,000,000 UFA Franchise Tag and Trade (2nd rounder)
Andy Dalton QB 32 CIN TBD $16,000,000 UFA Trade for a 5th round pick if possible

Notable NFL Free Agents Bengals Should Sign

Jack Conklin RT 26 TEN TBD $3,974,415 UFA Market Value (6yr / $90 million)
Cory Littleton ILB 26 LAR TBD $3,095,000 UFA Market Value (3yr / $21 million)
Hunter Henry TE 25 LAC TBD $1,595,077 UFA Market Value (4yr / $36 million)

*These 3 players equal the cost of Dalton and Green against the cap this year (so no increase in cost, but gives us 3 players we need at positions we need. This also does not include not signing Eifert's $5.5 million he made this year, or not resigning Dennard who made $4.5 million). Might even be able to save a little bit of cap space by releasing Bobby Hart this year.

I'll add one more OL to the F/A list in Glasgow at Guard - you get 2 OL, then it allows you to focus elsewhere in the draft to get younger/faster across the board on defense.

I don't think we need the extra OL with us paying that much for Conklin.

QB Joe Burrow
RB Joe Mixon
WR Tyler Boyd
WR John Ross
WR Justin Jefferson
TE Hunter Henry

LT Jonah Williams
LG Michael Jordan
C Trey Hopkins
RG Solomon Kindley

If you are going to draft Burrow - then pay for the extra OL - his success leads this franchise - I'm not risking that on another rookie LG - draft for depth, and that's fine - but I think you throw money at 2 OL spots - and cut somewhere else....maybe don't sign a F/A TE and draft a guy. Speaking of TE - isn't Hunter the same guy who can't stay healthy? If that's the case, just re-sign Eifert.

I think teams will wait for AJ Green and Dalton to hit free agency.

They aren't in high demand at this point in their career.

Possibly very true. Green can still be an elite receiver but to what degree and for how many games? Dalton showed he can be a quality QB with a team around him loaded with talent and an offensive line to protect. Someone may want to bridge a gap between a rookie QB and a veteran to team them the ropes. That may actually be us still, but I hope not because I think Burrow deserves to start, and Dalton deserves to play.

Not about getting high draft picks - trade them now, take what you can get, use the cap elsewhere (OL/TE/ETC), and allow the next generation to start.

I've personally seen enough of Dalton.

I know, it would make since, to let Burrow sit a year and learn, but if we're not going to make the playoffs anyhow, why bother?

prioritize getting a nice OL together to protect your new prize QB.
