Granger is just a flyer on a guy who could be low risk/$$ and high reward if recovered from his injuries.

Yea i think we got a great deal of it... If granger can get back close to his old form.. Miami got a steal here.

Boozer could be had cheap. Dude is a rebounding machine. Also has a nice jumper and hook. I agree his defense could be better. But that type of talent on the cheap? You have to take it.

Because Bosh has Lebron's money. We basically have Bosh's 15-18 million to spend. That's enough to get Deng here. Throw in Boozer cheaply. Come on.. Cole/Wade/Deng/Boozer/Bosh. McRoberts/Granger/Napier/Haslem off the bench. That team could win the East.

We could literally have Boozer for the minimum. You HAVE to do that.

Soon it will become very clear how LB was playing this waiting game all along knowing he was bolting but was trying to find a way to improve his new team while hurting his old in the process. Not surprised

ESPN sources say Heat and Luol Deng continue to negotiate. Deal that sends Deng to South Beach continues to loom as strong possibility

Via Marc Stein

Luol Deng to Miami is definitely a strong possibility, but I’m told he's weighing the lay of the land in Dallas first before deciding.

Dallas may pursue Lance Stephenson on a bigger money, shorter deal before turning to Deng -- assuming Houston matches on Chandler Parsons - Also in related news from @WojYahooNBA

Deng holding out for more. Slim pickings at this position.

Pickings slim at small forward if Heat can't land Deng. Might be better off using cap space in a trade otherwise.

Per Ira Winderman.

Someone mentioned Shawn Marion on twitter - any interest there?

Tough call...Ennis and Beasley are not the answer but I would not overpay Deng. Ariza at under $8 million should have been our focus. He is off the board and Deng patiently waited. He is stuck on needing more than $10 million since that was the offer from the Bulls that he turned down before he was traded.

I would be willing to give Deng 3/33 or 3/36. I wouldn't go higher than 12

I don't think we can do that. He has had injury issues as well. 11 million tops.....still seems high but if the Heat want to compete, they need it. Still need a center.
