I`m just happy we got rid of the coaches here and are starting over.

It also seems Trestman can not find a taker.
You know its bad when TB,Cle and now Oak come calling and two of those teams so far has said no.

John Fox wins Press Conference. Loved the way he was comfortable up there. A professional. Didn't seem phased by any of the questions. (unlike past HC's) NO weirdness. "building the man" - "tool box of concepts"- "Gotta love ball"... There was no list of what's important- he didn't pander to the idiots. I love that.

If you want an example of what a bad presser is google Jim Tomisula in San Fran. That's pure comedy gold.
Everything seemed "right"- He answered each question honestly, but with hope and legitimacy. What do you look for in a QB? "someone who wins"- That speaks for his past QB's... they won games. Simple. I like it. Good Job Foxy. I'm excited. And would like to play/work for a guy like this.

Anything you liked or didn't like about the press conference?

New England Patriots HC Bill Belichick, by definition a bad press conference coach.

well yes and no. Belicheck just doesn't say anything. And is kinda a dick. I'm talking about the crazies who say stupid shit and come off as idiots. Trestman is prime example- always seemed lost.

“I haven’t heard any of that. I didn’t hear all of it. I heard a lot about most of it, but what I did hear, I did not hear any of that.” Marc Trestman.

I don`t watch any press conferences.....

No one bad mouths anyone.

All they ever do is praise their players or teammates.

The only way I watch that crap would be from hidden cameras in the locker room...

Now that's true feelings and speeches. Not what they want us fans to hear.

And f
ox`s presser.........Never watched it,but I`m guessing its all positive on how to get this team back to playoff caliber and how he`s happy to be here....

Things we all wanted to hear..........

Can't find the link now, but saw a blip of a comment that Fox might try to bring in ex-Falcons' HC Mike Smith to be the DC. Other reports show Smith possibly going to Oakland with Del Rio.

If Smith came here, he would bring experience with him. But its not like his Falcons' defenses did much.

I think Chud would be a good hire at OC.

Hoping we can still land Fangio to be the DC.

Looks like Fangio is going to Washington- unconfirmed yet.
And Dennis Allen is going to Saints.

No word on Gase as even a potential candidate for Bears.

Hmmm who's left of first round rumors?

And now they are saying Charlie Weis is being considered as Bears OC.
I'll take Chud.

Marc Trestman hired as Baltimore OC- Signs a 3 year deal... what are the odds he completes the whole three years? It's a good thing for flacco that he already signed his deal.

Other OC Names- Geep Chryst QB's coach from 49ers.
And now... Adam Gase is confirmed on the list.

Jim Bob Cooter- who was blocked by Detroit... Was with Fox in Carolina. So that was the connection.

Bears hire Dave Magazu as OLine Coach... Former OL Coach in Denver and Carolina with Fox. As well as TE
Sam Garnes Asst. DB's coach, Derius Swinton as Asst. Special Teams coach.
When googling Magazu it was interesting to find a pretty scathing article on how he treated an offensive lineman when coaching at Ball State. Of course that was 20 years ago. Just interesting that was like the 3rd thing about the guy on Google search.

Gase is being linked to reuniting with Fox in Chicago.
That's fine. I'll take it. Now run the ball- Play action. Move the pocket. Win football games. Cutler MVP!

werent you the one raving about all these useless stats the cutler puts up? now the guy whos system he was running inneficienly is gonna get an efficient quarterback to run it and a defense to back it up.

Get over it already. Sorry he is the scapegoat for hurting your beloved cutler, but he proved the offense works, he just didnt have the right quarterback to run it until McCown played.

Being someone who has been sick of the front offices moves for over a decade, I must say that the coaching search has generated some positive candidates in the right places. I like the hires of fangio and fox. The offensive coordinators being mentioned all seem like good candidates on the surface, but I could see all of them failing as well. Gase really didn't need to do much in Denver with Peyton manning. Weis hasn't really done anything in the nfl since his New England days. I also am not overwhelmed with chud, and and Chryst doesn't strike me as a great candidate either. However, with Cutler locked up, I doubt the offense can be saved.

I wasn't sure about Pace, and still am skeptical, but he hasn't made any glaringly boneheaded moves quite yet.

I think Pace is trying to look like a real general manager, but allowing Fox to say where and when. I think part of the deal with Pace flying out to denver was Fox seeing how high he can make the youngster jump. When he jumped, he knew he had his job and will just be sending Pace out to get the permissions to speak to each candidate and let fox handle the rest. Fox doesnt seem like the Emery type that wants to take the credit as being the puppetmaster. We will see if there is enough blame to go around eventually.
