Now that we have John Fox in as Head Coach- Here are the early reports of potential Coordinators he'll look to hire.

Offensive Coordinators:
Mike Malarkey
Kyle Shanahan

Defensive Coordinators:
Dennis Allen
Vic Fangio

These are the names I'm seeing so far. Thoughts?

I'm pretty much fine with whoever isn't named Mel Tucker.

I also like that while Fox is Defensive minded as a former DC, he doesn't oversee his D. Let's his coordinator do that.

Malarkey has run some pretty potent offenses in the past, especially in his run with Atlanta. He's been a HC twice, been an OC 3 times. Kyle Shanahan is progressive with his Offense and would bring a great mix of run/pass (both would actually) to the Bears. I have zero issues with either, but probably prefer Kyle more.

DC wise, Vic would have my nod between the two, more so because Dennis Allen has failed pretty spectacularly in the past (of course so has Malarkey).

Dennis is not a "tough" guy so no to him being a DC here. We need somebody with leadership and tough guy quality

With Tucker I was always saying that's bullshit. With Malarkey I can say that's malarkey, What can I say with Shanny? I'll take Malarkey.

its always been Shannahan and Allen linked to Fox. I am pretty sure they will wait to see if Gase gets hired anywhere first though.

I'm excited about the changes the Bears have done this far, getting Pace as GM and hiring Fox as coach. I know Fox will hire decent assistants and Hopefully Pace will have a decent draft. The good thing is Fox was hired early so he will have time to evaluate needs for the draft and FA (I know FA will be limited due to $$ constraints).

Besides, anything is better than the shit storm we endured for two seasons so hopefully the Bears have only one way to go... Up.

I had CBS sports on this morning, just about every candidate were shown as HC candidates for Denver and Atlanta. Someone is gonna have to decide to go with fox and not wait til the super bowl is over.

I have heard we are interviewing Fangio. If that's true, I would be ecstatic about that. I always thought Fangio made a lot more sense than Fox as a head coach hire. If we could sign him, I'd say spend the whole draft on defense, and fill the offensive side with the free agent cash. Let Fangio build a defense his way.

We already interview him and he left for Washington

The Bears have requested permission to interview former 49ers defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN. Fangio is expected to meet with Chicago first, then he will interview with the Redskins for the same position later on Saturday, according to Dianna Marie Russini of NBC 4 in Washington D.C..

Fangio, 56, has 28 years of NFL coaching experience, including 15 years as a coordinator. His unit finished 10th in the league in scoring defense in 2014, allowing 21.2 points per game. The 49ers finished in the top three in scoring defense in each of the previous three seasons.

Interesting- GM Pace is bringing Saints Top scout Josh Lucas with him. Lucas will take over as director of player personal.

Poaching Saints scouts! Nice.

Kubiak is New HC for Denver.
Even though I think we got the better in Fox. For what we need, It kinda pisses me off that he declined Bears interview, but oh well... I like Fox better anyway.

Bears requested interview for Detroit QB Coach Jim Bob Cooter- Yeah that's not a typo. That's his real name. BUT Detroit blocked that interview. So... no Cooter coaching Cutler. Too bad, now we can't say that Jay hates Cooter! lol

Jeff Rodgers hired as STC. Eh... has been with Fox for 10 years. Nothing special.

I agree. Kubiak might have done a great job this past season with the Ravens offense, but I think back to how his tenure ended in Houston… in eight seasons there, three of the were above .500, and his last season there was a bit of a trainwreck. I get that Kubiak’s relationship with Elway is the driving factor behind this, but I’m not sure why Elway thinks this is the way to go for the long-term.

I`d go back and look at the players there.........matt schaub is an interception machine.
