And just like that, the Gods laugh at us. Dangle the thought of a comeback with an actual 2 out base hit to draw within one, and then that same batter goes to the field and throws a very routine ball way over the head of 1st base.

How do those of you who watch every game all year stomach this shit after it become apparent that they are going to completely suck the rest of the year? I'm already at a point where I'll probably not be watching most of this BS every day moving forward. It just don't bring ANY joy to watch this fucking terrible baseball day in and day out.

Fuck this. If we don't see some serious changes going into this next road trip I'm going to tune this team off until they get a new front office in there. They burn through so many managers and we're now stuck with a clown who's got a stick up his ass. And the sad thing is we can't improve. What half decent coach in their right mind would take this job when they know they have nothing to work with at the plate and a GM that is clueless about fixing the problem? It's a disaster. I don't see Z surviving this though.

one of the things that really kills me is that it feels like the club got to .500, and in their minds, that was mission:accomplished.

they have neither the work ethic, nor the skill, nor the leadership to sustain competent play for more than a few games at a time and do any better than getting to .500

after 25 years, it seems like i'd be used to it, but that doesn't make it feel any better.
