This is what gets me about the trades that happened. Bryzgalov brings in a 4th rounder with a GAA over 3 and we can only get a 3rd rounder for Mezz.

I think the past injuries hurt the cause...remember back in Sept they couldn't give him away.

Looks like it turns in to a 2nd if Boston reaches conference finals and Mesz plays 2/3rds of the playoff games, or if Mesz resigns before the draft.

Or

Flyers get a 3rd and 4th if none of the above happens, but Mesz resigns after the draft.

Keep in mind, it's likely to be pretty close to a 4th round pick; Boston looks scary in the postseason.

Ya we can't complain Homer did a good job and may still sign Mac to a new contract...I'm betting on it. If so then he's improved the D immediately without overpaying.

Not sure how much the pens improved remains to be seen but it looks like in the short term the rags will be a little better especially when it comes to scoring. Although some of their previous acquisitions like richards and nash are starting to slow down. They did lose some grity and tenacity with their captain leaving. I like the Flyers chances as their D should be pretty solid heading into the final stretch.

I'll take the Mezz move especially as it adjusts with the progress of the season. Could be a nice trade in the long run.
