Alright going to take the side of the Rams don't draft a QB, which is fine as long as studs are picked. We know outside of Rams trading down for more what spots they have through Round 3. The rest won't be set until meetings in March when Comp picks are given out. Also although it has happened, the top 3 rounds are where most of the good stock comes from so I will address only #s 15, 43 (Philly) 45 and 76 for the Rams. A lot of places to go but I'm going to think BPA and need instead of jumping at flash. I may not have seen as much as others and done a bunch of mocks (don't even know where to get graded on mocks)but here are my first 4 Rams picks:

#15 Reggie Ragland ILB This pick is for someone to take over for Lil Animal, we can make a decision day 1
#43 Josh Doctson WR Will work into a fine #1 WR in time and will help right away
#45 Ryan Kelly C This is the hole in the up front. Probably start day 1
#76 Kendall Fuller CB Johnson or Jenkins or both will go, hope it is Jenkins, franchise tag Johnson

Helps both sides of the ball and each will be given a chance to help on the first day and in the case of Lil Animal his Cap Space could be a bonus.

The number 15 pick has to come in and start right away, imo.

An ILB like the kid from Temple, needs to be ready to start next year, Lil Animal gets a year to groom the kid for the position.

In the case for Ragland, today with so much nickle defense, in the 4-3, stop the run, don't take a side and plug up the middle and watch the short over the middle is what the middle backer does. Ragland could play day 1 with that D-Line. I agree that seasoning is good because the MLB is also the QB on the defense. How many games did we see though that Lil Animal was pushed easily to the side instead of staying tough. I have always liked Lil Animal but that ship has sailed and unless there is a FA that can come in and do the job, the Rams better start thinking about the answer. We gave up to many big plays last season not because the Rams D-line wasn't good, it was because teams ran the ball at our MLB. Replay the Redskins game just for one. We could wait for a project in the 3rd or 4th and if a better player is available at #15 cool but I thought we were talking about the top of the line in college football at a position and Ragland is a winner coming from a winner.

The consensus with Ragland seems to be that he isn't the prospect the last few standout Bama LBs were. Very productive, but how much of that is due to that ridiculously talented D-line keeping blockers off of him? DE Robinson and DT Reed are both potential 1st rounders this year as well.

That is true shopson, I'm looking at need also and I don't know much about Martin from ND to suggest we look at him. I just know the MLB spot is a need and if we can find a stud in the 3rd good because Lil Animal has lost several steps in all his play. I have been the one guy that wants one of the 3 QBs at #15 I just was looking at something else to play the draft game.

I agree, just not sure Ragland at #15 is value (although that is about where he is typically ranked). I like Matakevich a lot, and there are other options there in the 2nd or later (Scooby Wright, Dominique Alexander, Antonio Morrison).

The two injured guys (Smith and Jack) are so talented that I would draft either and worry about fit later. Either put them outside and try Tree inside, or try them inside. Elite athleticism and coverage ability is hard to pass up.

I agree Shopson. That Matakevich kid is as good or better than Laurinaitus when he came out of Ohio State. That Matakevich kid should be seriously considered to be the next Rams MLB!.

Jack is a stud! Hated his injury, it just killed our season (Bruins) but the dude can flat out play!

Season-ending knee injury back in September
Did it in practice no less. :L

He just tweeted out: Next man up, or something like that. Bruins nation had a collective groan because I believe we were still undefeated at the time and he was our 3rd starter to go down on defense and like you said shops, it was still September! All three were highly touted PAC defensive players and all future NFL draft prospects, but none higher than Myles. Jack shortly thereafter declared for the 2016 NFL draft.

What as his injury vita?

Update on Sept. 24 at 11:40 a.m. ET: According to UCLA coach Jim Mora, Jr., Myles Jack suffered a torn anterior meniscus and will be out 4-6 months with no chance to return for a bowl game.

Myles Jack had 15 tackles through three 2015 games. (USATSI)

Original Story: Another major college football star has been lost for the 2015 season due to injury, this time at UCLA.

Bruins coach Jim Mora announced Wednesday that star Bruins linebacker Myles Jack will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a "significant knee injury," per the Orange County Register. Mora did not provide further specifics.

Jack was injured late in Tuesday's practice, Bruins defensive coordinator Tom Bradley told reporters. Jack underwent surgery late Tuesday night.

Myles burst onto the scene as an explosive two-way freshman in 2013, playing both linebacker and running back. He concentrated on the defensive side of the ball in 2014, finishing second on the team with 87 tackles and earning second-team All-Pac-12 honors. Jack had 15 tackles, one interception, one rushing touchdown, and even one 29-yard kickoff return in helping UCLA to a 3-0 start this season.

Jack's response on Twitter:
Here's three things to know concerning Jack's injury:

1. The Bruins' 2015 injury luck could best be described as "utterly rotten." We're not yet out of September, and Bradley's defense hasn't just lost three starters already, it's lost three key upperclassman standouts. Between junior tackle Eddie Vanderdoes (torn ACL), senior cornerback Fabian Moreau (Lisfranc injury) and Jack, the Bruins will be without a trio of players who each earned at least honorable mention All-Pac-12 honors in 2014 and have combined for 68 career starters.

Such is the depth on Mora's roster that all three players will likely be replaced by upperclassmen -- Jack's spot could be filled by either junior Jayon Brown or junior Isaako Savaiinaea -- but what was one of the nation's most talented defenses entering 2015 is nonetheless, well, now substantially less talented.
I didn't copy the whole story so here's the link in case anyone is interested.

Today's lunchtime mock:

Your score is: 7681 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 26 (SEA): Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama (A-)
Round 2 Pick 12: Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas (A-)
Round 2 Pick 21 (HOU): Noah Spence, DE, Eastern Kentucky (A+)
Round 2 Pick 26 (SEA): Tyler Matakevich, ILB/ILB, Temple (C+)
Round 3 Pick 13: Tyler Boyd, WR, Pittsburgh (A+)
Round 3 Pick 22 (HOU): Kyle Murphy, OT, Stanford (A-)
Round 4 Pick 12: Rashard Higgins, WR, Colorado State (A+)
Round 6 Pick 15: Matt Ioannidis, DT, Temple (A)

Traded down in the 1st with nobody enticing sliding to me (passed on Lynch, and on QB in general this time). C+ grade for Matakevich in the late 2nd is bizarre IMO.

Lunchtime mock:

Your score is: 6217 (GRADE: B+)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 15: Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss (A+)
Round 2 Pick 12: Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas (A-)
Round 2 Pick 14: Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State (A)
Round 3 Pick 13: Tyler Matakevich, ILB, Temple (B+)
Round 4 Pick 12: Max Tuerk, C/OG, Southern California (C+)
Round 7 Pick 4 (SEA): Briean Boddy-Calhoun, CB, Minnesota (A)
Round 7 Pick 21 (WASH): Mike Thomas, WR, Southern Mississippi (B-)
Round 7 Pick 23 (MINN): Vernon Adams Jr., QB, Oregon (D)

No trades until late to add a few picks. The Adams pick wasn't popular, but at the end of the 7th he's worth a shot coming off of that strong Shrine game performance. Tuerk might have been a little early, but the remaining viable centers wouldn't have lasted to the Rams' next pick (6th round) and no good trade-downs were offered.

Smith should actually be there at 15, too, because of his injury and the depth of this class. He is on a different level as a prospect than lil animal or a Manti Te'o was coming out of college and is closer to the Derrick Johnson or maybe even Patrick Willis or Luke Kuechly. He'd be a huge upgrade for the Rams.

Myles Jack might be more gifted and ready to play right away but he isn't really viewed as a Von Miller superman type of prospect so he might actually just be a coverage guy. As such, I could see him slipping just a small bit but I think the Rams would have to trade up to get him and I think he is riskier than Smith when looking at the big picture of 8-10 years out and the ability to hold up as a run stopper at a slightly smaller size.

This year's Todd Gurley is Myles Jack but long term Jaylon Smith should be even better.

my latest mock- traded down twice and got extra 2nd and 3rd. I don't know why the top K got such a low grade in the 6th but Greg Z needs some competition or replaced. need to replace Saffold and Rankins would replace Brockers if he decides to leave next offseason.. Sanchez would fill in if we lose Jenkins or Johnson.

Your score is: 7868 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 27 (G.B.): Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama (A-)
Round 2 Pick 12: Josh Doctson, WR, TCU (A-)
Round 2 Pick 14: Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State (A-)
Round 2 Pick 21 (HOU): Cody Whitehair, OG, Kansas State (A+)
Round 3 Pick 13: Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville (A+)
Round 3 Pick 27 (G.B.): Zack Sanchez, CB, Oklahoma (A-)
Round 4 Pick 12: Nick Vannett, TE, Ohio State (A)
Round 6 Pick 15: Roberto Aguayo, K, Florida State (C+)

It's tough to do it without trades, as there are so many potential needs to address, especially when you factor in upcoming needs at ILB, DE, CB, and even rotational DT to the already known issues at WR, TE, C, OT and QB. Some of those holes will need to be filled in free agency, which could increase the likelihood of cuts that bring those upcoming needs into being current needs. Free agency will be interesting and pivotal to say the least. Mainstays like Long and Laurinaitis could be on the way out, along with (hopeful) cuts like Cook and potentially Saffold.
