Well, Cook/Laurinatis/Long are gone. MLB and DE rocketing up the list of needs...(TE was already there)
Yes, the chips are beginning to fall.

Let's see which is the next shoe to drop.

Hunter Henry and Maketavich become priorities.

Indeed, if those spots aren't addressed via free agency. Dwayne Allen would be a nice get (as the Colts are likely to focus on Fleener, also a FA, as well as extending Luck).

There seems to be a lot of talk about Tree moving to MLB and keeping Barron at WLB full time. I'm not sure I agree, as moving inside would seem to require different traits than Tree's chase down speed, but they would know better than me.

But then again they may not know better than you? We've seen them do goofier things?

Your score is: 7132 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 20 (NYJ): Darron Lee, OLB/ILB, Ohio State (A)
Round 2 Pick 12: Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State (A)
Round 2 Pick 14: Josh Doctson, WR, TCU (A-)
Round 2 Pick 20 (NYJ): Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas (A)
Round 3 Pick 13: Jack Allen, C, Michigan State (B+)
Round 4 Pick 12: D.J. White, CB, Georgia Tech (B+)
Round 6 Pick 28 (K.C.): Briean Boddy-Calhoun, CB, Minnesota (A-)

Since our Front office is insisting on making Tree a MLB might as well draft a kid that can play outside .

With all the cap space savings, I think the assumption is that the Rams keep the majority of their free agents (Jenkins, Tru, McLeod, Hayes, Barron), so picking 2 CBs might be overkill...

Here's my lunchtime draft:

Your score is: 7490 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 15: Jaylon Smith, OLB/ILB, Notre Dame (A-)
Round 2 Pick 12: Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State (A)
Round 2 Pick 25 (PITT): Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas (A)
Round 3 Pick 13: Jack Allen, C, Michigan State (B+)
Round 3 Pick 25 (PITT): Leonte Carroo, WR, Rutgers (A+)
Round 4 Pick 12: Javon Hargrave, DT, South Carolina State (B+)
Round 5 Pick 6 (S.F.): Glenn Gronkowski, FB, Kansas State (A)
Round 5 Pick 20 (HOU): Kevin Peterson, CB, Oklahoma State (A)
Round 6 Pick 22 (T.B.): Kevin Hogan, QB, Stanford (C)
Round 7 Pick 24 (CINN): Geronimo Allison, WR, Illinois (A)

Smith can play inside or out, depending on where they put Tree. Putting him at SAM could be ideal. Ogbah takes Long's rotation spot at DE, Henry replaces Cook. Carroo and Allison are both physical receivers that can block. Gronkowski can be an HB/TE wildcard to block and catch the occasional pass. Hargrave impressed at the Senior bowl, can take Fairley's DT rotational spot. Peterson was good value, and it always makes sense to draft at least one DB. Allen is a 4 year starter at C, should be able to start early. Hogan has some release issues to work on, but is a leader and played in a pro style system.

Tried one on Fanspeak (no trades, CBS rankings):

YOUR TEAM
LA RAMS

15: R1P15
QB CARSON WENTZ, NORTH DAKOTA STATE

43: R2P12
TE HUNTER HENRY, ARKANSAS

45: R2P14

76: R3P13
WR TYLER BOYD, PITTSBURGH

111: R4P12

Missed out on getting any LB help in this one, but with Wentz on the board went QB instead.

There are so many directions to go with the first pick, if we stay put and Wentz and Goff aren't there. You go with BPA.

Yep, that's why I've been leaning towards Jaylon Smith in most of my mocks lately. He can play inside or outside, is great in coverage, and is also a great pass rusher. Sounds like he could fit at MLB if needed, or be a great fit at SAM, with Barron at WILL and Tree at MLB.

It is interesting in that you can pick which ranking system to use, but I'd rather see one composite ranking.

 I'm starting to think BPA at #15. As Kiper (who cares) says, there will be a number of QBs available in the 2nd round including maybe Lynch. Lets see what happens at the combine and FAs with our CBs and look ILB, CB or WR with #15.:thumb:

At 15, I don't know if WR fits as BPA, unless they really like Treadwell. I would replace CB with DE in your post, but agree otherwise with BPA.

yeah, I don't get First-picks grading.

you get an A+ if you take Aguayo in the 4th, but if you take him in the 6th, you get a C+

go figure.

I wouldn't be too upset with
1st WR LAQUON TREADWELL OLE MISS
2nd QB Lynch or Cook
2nd BPA
3RD BPA
4th ILB Tyler Matakevich

Yeah, take the grading with a grain of salt. Most times, it means you either drafted a player ahead of their rankings or duplicated a need. Sometimes it's just baffling. Take Matakevich. If you draft him in the 2nd or 3rd, you can't get an A (at least I haven't in a while). He never makes it to the 4th. Does that mean he isn't a top value pick ever?

It's tough to understand anyone being below a C pick in the 7th round either. You would get a D for drafting the QB of your choice in the 7th? Really?
