Swanson looked good in his one start!!!!!

Jason Hanson would look good at starting center compared to Dom

That's not a knock on Swanson, as I'm glad to see the regime replacing Dom.

Somehow he lasted 15 years! IMO it's like the crazy lady living in a Walmart store....nobody really knows how they did it but they did it for a helluva long time!

One down, one more to go.

You are next Sims. You've sucked balls the last two years with the same guys on each side for every play. You have no excuses other than being a bag of shit who has been way overpaid. Consider it a great severance package and get the fuck out loser.

I am open to looking at Iupati for the right $. I think he caps out at a deal that averages $5m/yr. As with any contract in this league its all about how its structured to give the team an easy and cheap exit strategy if needed should injuries be an issue.

Not worried about wasting a ton of money on running backs or a high draft pick. Build the offensive lone and the running game will be much improved. Have a feeling the will be spending a high pick on a RB tho.

I am going WAAAAYYYY out on a limb for me but if the Lions sign Iupati and spend probably a 3rd rd pick on a versatile interior o-lineman (can play center and guard), I would be on board with potentially drafting Melvin Gordon in the 1st rd.

Are we in a position to be spending a 3rd round pick on a back-up at this point, though? I wouldn't focus nearly as much on another interior o-lineman with an early pick (if we signed Iupati, that is) as I would on drafting a tackle instead.

If we sign Iupati we're set on the interior. We'd still need a reserve combo guard/tackle, but maybe wait till later in the draft for that one. Our RT situation is still less clear, though. We have a few intriguing options in Waddle, Lucas, and Williams, but all of them are still "maybe's" at this point. Most tackles can move to guard if necessary, so I'd target a tackle in the 1st three rounds and let the talent sort itself out as far as who plays where...

And I wouldn't draft a RB in the 1st round under pretty much any circumstance. Their shelf life and value is just too low, imo, to be passing up on a potential 10 year player in a o-lineman, or D-lineman, or CB, etc...

Bell probably wont fumble much too when there are not 10 guys on top of him every time he runs with the ball.
