Rudolph addition makes me really think Gronk is done this time, or at least has zero plans to come back before week 1.

maybe if injuries hit and TB12 sweet talks him into mid-season? but that obviously isn't in the team's plans with there only being like 7 weeks until games start

(yes, it felt great typing that there is only a single-digit amount of weeks left before we get to watch real football again!!!!)

Wow. Hoping for the best for him.

Texans WR John Metchie III was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia and will "likely" not be playing football in 2022.

Best wishes to Metchie as he battles this disease. His statement notes that he is in good spirits and expects to make a recovery at a later point in time. He's been through the ringer with injuries on the field and from a football perspective this certainly puts his career in some manner of doubt. From a fantasy perspective, Nico Collins and Brevin Jordan stand to benefit the most from Metchie's absence. This sucks.

Hope he recovers, he's had some bad luck.

Keep your eyes alive. Bodies are dropping everywhere.

PUP lists are getting populated on an hourly basis.

Never seen so many guys unable to rehab from surgery.

was shocked JRob avoided the PUP, a welcomed surprise in the one league I have him and struggling for RB depth

a bunch of those dudes are more "administrative" than they really need to be inactive. Just creating extra roster spots on the 90 man. And others could be a rookie they intend on stashing all season long on the IR but that aren't necessarily all that 'injured'
like say Gus and Dobbins in Baltimore, both personally claim they'll be ready to go, but neither really need the practice, so why not open up those rosters spots and see a couple other guys until its time to activate them?

I'll be more worried about the guys who hit that list as camp starts picking up

The Athletic's Josh Kendall reports "There’s a scenario in which Allgeier... becomes Atlanta’s starting running back this season."

Really??? no way? There's also a scenario in which Adrian Peterson is the starting RB in Dallas

I could see that scenario playing out, just need 8-10 guys to get injured and Jerry to bring the texas boy home!

"There's a scenario in which" ... lol.

July is a terrible month for football news, though. Places are running articles like "ranking teams' alternate helmets."

Pretty sure Allgeier will lead the team in carries, though, so it's not just a "scenario." Patterson only had 153 attempts last year and that was a career high. Davis had 138 and the other two RBs 49.

Question is, does he lead the team with 140 carries or with 240?
