I'm gonna have to claim ignorance on Prince Shembo. Whenever I watched the Irish I almost exclusively focused on the DL (except when Teo was there & I was calling him the most overrated player in the NCAA).

Maybe someone else here is an Irish fan.

5th round is around where he will probably go in the draft (4-6th round is what I'm seeing other ppl speculating). He had some very good games and then you wouldn't see much in the following game or 2, so he needs more consistency. Played very well vs. ASU this year with 3 sacks but didn't have a performance close to that the rest of the year. Ranked around 20th best OLB in this year's draft.

A guy not getting much attention from ND is TJ Jones who made a lot of plays as their #1 WR...I'd like a flier on him if nobody else picks him up later in the draft. His 40 time will make a big difference for draft day.

I like it, but would add a little more beef to the offensive/defensive lines...

Probably in place of the DeAnthony and Shaq picks. Or you could use the imaginary comp pick(s) on the lines as well...

Hard to compare it to the 1981 draft, but it would be a good attempt! :suds:

True I wanted to add another OT and maybe a NT but I didn't know anyone that would project to the 49ers since I haven't started my research for prospects yet.

Also with Thomas I felt we could replace James with a more dynamic player and 5th round was a good place to pick him up. It was between him and Wilder Jr. since we do need a power/short yardage back. I decided to go with speed and pick up a short yardage back later on.

And thanks for compering my attempt to the 81 draft if we can get anything close to that draft hell even the 11 draft I would be extremely happy. :suds:

Shembo is a beast. He will be a better NFL player then college player. I think he will impressive scouts at the combine and might jump into the 4th rd.

I also have him as a 5th rd pick right now.

Do you see him as an ILB or OLB in a 3-4 defense?

Speaking of LB's, I'm really starting to like Devon Kennard in the Ahmad Brooks role (as a back-up of course)...

The guy has experience at DE, MLB, and OLB. He has had injuries that kind of hampered his college career. But coming out of high school he was a legit blue chip recruit. Even with all the injuries and position changes, the kid fought through all of it and had a solid career at USC...

He has passing rushing skills, but is also good at stopping the run. He also has a knack for stepping up when the chips were down, making timely big plays. He doesn't posses the explosive speed or burst, but he makes up for it by being gritty and hustling...

He is expected to be a day three prospect, and would love to see the Niners take him with a late pick!

Thanks for reminding me, Hangman. Had totally forgotten about this. Your draft is pretty good.

There's 0% chance of my draft happening, but imagine the competition in training camp among all the WRs and CBs.

I don't care how off this thing is from reality. Thank you again Bloodtype for putting this out here. It's so much fun to run! Don't have a lot of time these days to focus on the draft sleepers, so this is a fun way to familiarize names in the mid to late rounds.

They have updated the player rankings after the combine and now its harder to get players to drop. Players that were seen as a second round pick are now top 20 picks. And good sleepers moved up too. I found myself taking many people I was selecting in the third in the second instead. Much harder to get players you want.

I love my draft only think was I couldnt get a good safety. They kept taking the safeties really fast and every time I would try for someone the next round they were gone. But im pretty sure we resign Whitner so I dont think safety is a big need.

Crazy run on WRs in Rounds 1 & 2 glad to get Bryant & Moncrief in Round 3. Tutitt & Easley were to valuable not to draft and could give us one of if not the best DL rotation in the NFL. Overall happy with my picks.

You win the Simulator game Supreme. That draft would literally be dangerous to my health because I'd think I were dreaming & try to fly off of something.

No kidding about the run on WR but when I did it the safeties also went quickly. I have to admit I don't follow the college game that closely so towards the end I was just taking flyers on people, Like Bruce Ellington (speed and return man) and Cody Hoffman (Size)
