My 7 round draft. I think it turned out pretty good. If 49ers can resign Boldin and get a FA WR being Britt/Maclin/Cooper/Meachem/Nicks/Sanders or a punt returning WR like Hester or bring Ginn back. I dont think we would have to get a WR early then. Crabtree, Boldin, FA WR, Patton and a rookie WR i think would be good enough. I also have been drafting a RB in round 3 or 4 just incase the 49ers cut Gore and save 6 million. I also think 49ers should cut Baldwin and save 1.4 million and cut Synder and save 1 million.

I know I drafted 2 DTs but I like Will Sutton a lot and couldnt pass on him and then Easley fell to the 3rd so I grabbed him. Maybe we can covert 1 to DE.

That's insane Marqise Lee keeps lasting 'til the 30th pick. That'd be a no-brainer.

I did it a few times and had Manziel fall all the way to our pick, so I went ahead and grabbed him.

I've seen Marqise Lee go all over the place - either falling all the way to us or getting picked right outside the top 10.

The one thing that I'm noticing as these ratings stand right now is that there's good probability of going after the WR in Rd 1 and then circling back for a strong CB in Rd 2. Typically works out a lot better than in the reverse. A lot of times right after I lock in the CB early, a few other CB's falls to the second Rd. Didn't pan out that way for the WR's very often. So I started grabbing a WR in RD1, then grab something else like a C or S with the 1st 2nd before locking in the CB.

Will be interesting to see how this happens for real.

How high would you pick him*?

*if you were picking like a blind auction (still the Niners but had any pick)? Assume that the pick has the same value as it does now (the fact you are picking a draft number doesn't make it like a free pick).

I think he's worth about the 15th pick in the draft or so at this point. Of course I wanna see how he measures & what he does at the combine.

I did my draft with Whitner gone. Not that he will be, but just wanted to do it that way

1 Marqise Lee
2 Kyle Fuller CB VTech
2 Dion Bailey S USC
3 Bradley Roby CB The Ohio State
3 Bryan Stork C Florida State

I went defensive backfield heavy because as a whole, that is our biggest weakness. Got a playmakind WR, and the best Center on the board. I was going to go with Craig Loston S from LSU instead of Bailey, but I wanted to go USC because I am a homer.

Well then, you should have taken Marcus Martin at Center

Freaking addicting. My only regret was taking McCarron when I didn't notice Boyd still on the board. Colvin dropping to the 7th was a steal IMO.

Boyd was a disaster for the Senior Bowl. There is chatter he might go undrafted now.

Boyd was a disaster for the Senior Bowl. There is chatter he might go undrafted now.

I looked at the box score and for some reason it put rushing stats before the passing stats. But, as I was just looking for Boyd's name, I didn't see the category. I saw his 2 rushes for 8 yards thinking it was 2/8 passing for 8 yards. Then, I looked at everyone around him and it was all in the 3-6 YPA range and I thought, "wow, this was either really good defense or bad QBs." Then, I saw the Logan Thomas numbers: 5 for 0 for -39 yards. Then, I knew it was rushing.

Incidentally, how did Thomas get this -39? Bad snap?

In retrospect I should have taken Cooks over Landry but overall I would be extremely happy with this draft.
