Sacks and protection are not always exactly the same. Dak has been beaten up pretty good this year. The fact he hasn't been sacked more is a testament to his getting rid of the ball and also his elusiveness and strength

That's true Dak is FANTASTIC at eluding the rush and brushing it off but you have to admit, 10 sacks in the previous 8 games means he is protected phenomenally.

No. He really hasn't been this year. This is probably the 3rd game he got the shit kicked out of him and there were at least 2 others where the protection was not great. If there was another QB back there we'd likely be near the bottom in sacks allowed this year. He doesn't normally hold the ball very long in general and he almost never sits in the pocket and holds it.

Opponents had to respect our running attack when Zeke was playing. This allowed Dak to excel at play action.

Todays game reminded me of the Eagles last year when Lane Johnson was out for 10 games and Vatai came in to replace him. He gave up 4 sacks his first game to Ryan Kerrigan. He got better during those 10 games and now is our starting LT with Peters out. The point is sometimes young OLineman (especially Tackles) really struggle but you need to be patient. He might need some time for development so you just cant kick him to the curb. Tough game Colors. Hang in there brother.
