He did that on the Jets as well with his shoulder. They were 8 - 5 and looked playoff bound and he wouldn't admit he couldn't throw.

It appears to be true, he is being directly quoted and the quote matches the teams statement. Plus, he's just that kind of guy.

No, they just suck and might as well see the other 2 guys. Granted they have so many injuries and no receivers so I'm not sure what the other 2 will be able to do. The other 2 are more mobile and the line sucks so perhaps this saves him some wear and tear and he can come back fresher next year

My fear is that if they are allowing Mcadoo to make this decision, than maybe he has a chance to save his job

I think they're going to pick a QB in the draft so you might as well see what you have. It's a tough gig though, no line, all the receivers are hurt, no running game.....If they do win a few down the stretch maybe Mcadoo would earn a chance to stay.
