Mock includes comp picks. Also I've looked at previous drafts to see where comp picks were awarded then took the 23rd pick (Bengal's current selection) after the last comp pick from the previous round to determine later selections.

Round 1
23rd overall- Alfonzo Dennard CB 5'10" 204 Nebraska
26th overall- Chris Polk RB 5'11" 214 Washington

Round 2
55th overall pick- Ben Jones OC 6'3" 311 Georgia

Round 3
87th overall pick- Devin Taylor DE 6'6½" 260 South Carolina
96th overall pick- Juron Criner WR 6'4" 212 Arizona
(expected Jonathan Joseph comp pick)

Round 4
121st overall pick- Tony Dye S 5'11" 208 UCLA

Round 5
153rd overall pick- Kevin Zeitler OG 6'3½" 322 Wisconsin
160th overall pick (NE pick)- Omar Bolden CB 5'10" 198 Arizona State

Round 6
192nd overall pick- Chad Diehl FB 6'1¾" 258 Clemson

Round 7
229th overall pick- TJ Graham WR 6'0" 180 North Carolina State

Would not be happy with this draft. Also no way Zeitler drops to the 5th, not a chance. I'd give this draft a C- if it happened.

Ok, so lets see your mock. And why couldn't Kevin Zeitler fall into the 5th Round? Clint Boling had a 2nd Round grade last year and he slid into the 4th so I don't see how it's improbable that the 8th ranked guard with a 5th Round grade wouldn't be selected in the Round he's supposed to be drafted.

Kevin Zeitler OG 6'3½" 322 Wisconsin: Draft Grade- (58) Position Rank- (8)

50-59 Adequate Prospect
These are usually players that play at a high level in college, but lack some measurables or skills to play at that same level in the NFL. He may be a player that has a lot of developmental qualities, or could be a player that will contribute right away on special teams or in a situational capacity. He will usually rate in the second-third at his position and is considered a fifth round draft choice.

ESPN isn't the know all be all. IMO Dennard won't fall that far. That is a round too early on Polk, we don't need and aren't going to draft a C, Cook just signed an extension. We need a S before the 4th round and we need a OG before the 5th round. Zeitler is a 2nd-4th round pick. We don't really need a WR in the 3rd. I see a lot of problems with this one.

The Dennard pick is alright. I like Jenkins (depending on how he presents himself at the combine). Agree with Tubbs that the late first is too high for Polk. Personally, the only RB that I'd consider in the first would be Richardson and he'll be long gone. I'd take my chances and look at maybe David Wilson, Polk or trade up in the 2nd to get LaMarr Miller. Not a fan either of the Center pick in the 2nd. So far I'm thinking for the first 3 rounds..

1A. David DeCastro OG Stanford
1B. Janoris Jenkins CB N. Alabama
2. Chris Polk RB Washington or David Wilson RB VA Tech
3. Dwight Jones WR UNC
3B. Brandon Boykin CB Georgia

I don't think Jenkins is there either. I see it going more like this

1a. Cordy Glenn OG Georgia
1b. Chase Minnifield CB Virginia
2. Monte Ball RB Wisconsin
3a. Markelle Martin FS Ok. St.
3b. Cliff Harris CB Oregon

I'd be good with that (though I like my sceanrio much better). Glenn would be a solid pick. Minnifield is a good player that wont drop to them in the 2nd. If Jenkins was gone I'd also be alright with them taking LaMarr miller there. Not a fan of Ball just based on the fact that he's a Wisonsin RB. Martin would be a sweet pick in the 3rd.

I'd prefer Polk personally I just see Ball being more of a Marvin pick for some reason.

With the talent at QB, LT and WR someone is going to fall and with Alfonzo Dennard being the 3rd ranked CB after Dre Kirkpatrick and Janoris Jenkins he's as likely to fall as anyone. Picking in the early to mid 20's will prevent the Bengals from drafting one of the elite running backs in Trent Richardson and Lamar Miller plus Cedric Benson's inept play coupled with a one year deal plus the fact that he's one bone-head move away from an extended vacation makes the RB position one of great need and Chris Polk is the type RB made for the AFC North. He's a bell cow with nice size that can pound the ball against the Steelers and Ravens. And though a Center isn't need Ben Jones is the "best player available" type selection. At 6'3 311 he could either stay in the pivot and back up Cook or he could be groomed to play Guard and be the heir apparent to eventually replace Bobbie Williams. This is a deep draft for Safety (Mark Barron, Ray ray Armstrong, Markelle Martin, Tj Mcdonald, Trent Robinson, Harrison Smith, Tony Dye, George Iloka, Robert Lester) there will be value available in the 4th Round. And we don't need a WR? You do realize the Jerome Simpson and Andre Caldwell are both working on the final year of their rookie contracts, right? Plus with Simpson's legal woes hanging over his head I'd say will be addressed and addressed early. But with 5 month until the real draft and with the current College and NFL seasons still in play no could accurately predict how the draft will turn out. This is supposed to be a fun what if. Nothing more. And if you don't like my early mock draft you're always welcomed to create your own.

Benagls are 7-4. Are currently in the drivers' seat for a playoff spot.

Let's enjoy this ride while it lasts.

Plenty of time for draft discussions later.

And yes, I had the 25th of Nov as my day ... so damn close...so close.

I could also see but I honestly feel Polk stock will skyrocket up the boards and push him into the end of the 1st Round by the end of the season.

1a. Mark Barron S 6'1½" 223 Alabama
1b. Cordy Glenn OG 6'5⅞" 335 Georgia
2. David Wilson RB 5'10" 203 Virginia Tech
3a. Stephon Gilmore CB 5'11¼" 193 South Carolina
3b. Juron Criner WR 6'3¾" 212 Arizona

I guess your opinion of flipping out is different than mine because I consider this a discussion.
