Not sure if playing for the future is so great if you are playing for more than 3 years into the future...
With the way the NFL has changed, it isn't like this anymore. Rookies get thrown into the spotlight much quicker than in years past. Sure, mistakes will be greater with young QBs, but getting that experience is crucial to their development imo.

Maybe sniped is the wrong word. .but seems anytime I look at a player and say, "he might make it back, I'll wait", its always Micro...generally that happens a pick out two in front, never the opposite end of the line. My judgement on where guys will go is EFFED in this draft

That's why guys like Luck, Wilson, Rodgers, Cam were so great. ..growing pains are gone, more than a decade of letting the good times roll ahead. Id like to get a true rookie QB, but I'd never want one as my #1. Not even in a dynasty. .no offense Chef

I am talking about fantasy not real life...

We start only 14 QBs, we will probably own all the starting QBs(some teams will have 3 QBs... But if you are only starting one, and every season there will be new QBs coming from nowhere, you don't need to look for your long term franchise QB... Especially one that has a long road ahead of them... by taking QBs that should be good for this season and the short term future, you will be better off IMO...

I kind of feel QB is where you should play it safe, and not take the huge risks... But that its just my opinion...

And I am not saying not to draft these young guns, I was just very surprised some of them went so early...

So I went and checked out everyone's teams thus far and here are my thoughts:

-I really like FuzzyPower's WRs. Good young established core with DBG in the wings.
-Love OBX' RBs. His WRs are young, but could potentially be dangerous.
-Treff's team has 2 players that I personally think will be huge once they leave their respective teams: L.Murray and Watkins. Murray may even do some good things with Oakland, but I really feel he got 2 good players there primed for the future.
-Ram has a great 2-man core in AJ and Gurley. Those two will be putting up big numbers for years to come. Nothing about his team here, but it's weird that when he drafted Teddy it put him on the bench instead of the QB slot. Maybe the draft room knows something we don't? ;)
-Love Chef's youth at WR and TE. May have to trade for one a dem's TEs.
-Steelers has a 3-headed monster at RB that could be boom or bust imo. I like the chances he took there.
-Foot shocked the world(well at least the MBBRL world) when he took OBJ #1. He doesn't have a young true #1 RB, but those can be drafted in later years.

If I had to pick a team that I thought would win it this year and this year only, if no trades are made, other than my own team of course ;) it would be Trudem's team. He just seems to have a nice solid core of players that can produce right now.

Of course, this can all change with 9-10 more picks from everyone, but those are my observations as of now. Doesn't make them accurate.

I agree on Trudem's team. Solid is the right word. The way this league is shaping up, that's a high compliment.

About Ram and Teddy: You don't really think he's gonna make Teddy his #1 this year, do ya? ;)
