the problem is I don't like it better. Just to be 100 percent clear I'm offering you Brandon cooks Perkins my 1.3 and I'll even through in my 3.3 all for Howard and no other players. Are you saying no to that.Well, I like you too, buddy...but I think I liked my other offer better.
Is there a RB that has a better than average shot, as things sit today, who you could say he might be better than Howard, available at 1.3? After Cook and Fournette, everything is a big crap shoot. 1.3 isn't worth half of what 1.1 and 1.2 are. In fact, 1.3 is only marginally more valuable than 1.14 imho.the problem is I don't like it better. True, I guess my thought process is that Perkins will either be yet another disappointing Giant RB, or that they sign/draft/trade for someone else, so he's about at throw in value in my book, I kind of overlook his name in the deal...same reason I was more than willing to let him go in the L. Bell dealI think it hinges more on what you put the value of Paul Perkins at. If you think he will be even a top 24 running back for the next 6 years that's a tough offer to pass on, but if you aren't sold on what he will be then you're really trading Howard for Cooks and the 1.3 which isn't such a no brainer.
giants will sign a rb, perkins is not their bellcowTrue, I guess my thought process is that Perkins will either be yet another disappointing Giant RB, or that they sign/draft/trade for someone else, so he's about at throw in value in my book, I kind of overlook his name in the deal...same reason I was more than willing to let him go in the L. Yep, my thoughts as well. And if that's going to be the case, he's just roster fill/handcuffgiants will sign a rb, perkins is not their bellcow
yep, so keep offers for 1.1 and 1.2 in mindYep, my thoughts as well. And if that's going to be the case, he's just roster fill/handcuff
I think Perkins played well towards the end of the year once he started getting consistent touches. I dont own him so I am not trying to sell high on him.Yep, my thoughts as well. And if that's going to be the case, he's just roster fill/handcuff

my bet is another fa veteranIDK, think they'll give him a shot to be their RB1. Giants need OL before worrying about another RB. How good will Perkins be next year? Don't know. He has as good of a shot as Dixon, Booker, or Prosise. They are all a gamble, maybe none pay off, maybe a couple do.
I think that saying the 1.3 is slighty more valuable than the 1.14 is like saying the Patriots are slightly better than the Rams.Is there a RB that has a better than average shot, as things sit today, who you could say he might be better than Howard, available at 1.3? Just throwing in my but how can you guys be so certain that Perkins won't be the lead back?
Same was said of Devonta Freeman after they drafted Tevin Coleman.
Same was said of Melvin Gordon after Danny Woodhead became a "touches" machine.
Same was said of Isaiah Crowell after they drafted Duke Johnson.
not me , two others i take b4 himDon't forget McCaffrey will be there at three. Fornette and cooks are clearly 1.1 and 1.2 but McCaffrey is in my opinion 1.3 then the drop begins. Just my opinion but I'm taking McCaffrey at three unless some amazing rookie show dominance in the pre season
No. Not in February.can u bank on him being the lead back and trading for him like he's a #1
