Nobody is giving up good assets for Gregory. His contract isn't awful, but it is questionable base on his play. When he is on the field he has been good, but not great IMO.

I felt the ‘Good, but not great’ may have been injury related. He definitely flashed, especially opposing Chubb.

I think this describes the problem pretty well. Unless a bonus money offer can be cobbled together over a long contract - Dre'Mont Jones will be gone.

He is a very good DT but 19Mill is just way to much for that position unless you are getting Donald like production which nobody else has ever done.

I think Dre'Mont Jones probably is worth $15-16 million per year - with the Walmart money a cash bonus tied to 5 years will lessen the cap figure.

Build roster as best you can in 23 see where we stand going forward. Plz make a tough decision on Russ in 24 unless he goes 3-3 in AFC west and plays really well we MUST move on. Don't hang on to a guy just because you don't want to look bad because of cost rip off the band aid. PM JB JA JH TL are all 28 or younger Russ will be 35 do the math.

I think building the best team you can this year without crippling future assets and cap space even further for 2023 is the best way to go.

Cap space takes a significant jump this year, so a tag and trade or tag and extension deal makes sense. Letting him just walk makes zero sense, unless ol' Paton is looking for a way to cut bait with Penner and Payton.
