Cox came over from the A's in the Stripling trade. He already has 20 steals on the season. He's 24, so a little old for low A. Hopefully he can move up to Eugene soon.

Looks like the minors are loaded with pitchers. Hitters, not so much.

Some of the pitchers are a bit old for their leagues as well (for example, Ben Madison is 26 and pitched in AA last year).
I don’t know how the PCL is as a whole this year (i.e. is offense down like in the bigs?) but the fact that the only two hitters have an OPS north of .800 is sad.

Turner Hill has been moved up to Triple-A for now. Sacramento's roster has been depleted over the past week to support the ML roster. Hill just won Northwest League Player of the Week honors last week. He had a .731 OPS with 3 homers in 85 PA with Eugene.

Snell had a rehab start yesterday for San Jose and pitched great. He even had an immaculate inning.

Crawford has been promoted to Sacto. For as raw as he was when he was drafted just 2 years ago, it is a great sign to see him in AAA already.

Giants went from kid gloves to Uber aggressive with him. I guess he’s locked in as a reliever? Does that already make him a bust, considering his draft pedigree?

If we get a cuppo out of him, that is a success in my eyes. I hated the pick when they made it. I hope FZ proves me wrong on this one.

In today’s game, relievers are almost as important as starters, so I wouldn’t put much weight in the fact that is a bully arm from the get.

We got him from the Aaaaaaaa's for Stripling. He now has 20 steals. And he's been caught only once. The second coming of Johneshwy Fargas!

Will Bednar Stats, Age, Position, Height, Weight, Fantasy & News with his second appearance at Low-A San Jose yesterday. Still only 23 (will be 24 in June), so a little old for the Cal League. Still, his health is what has held him back. Hopefully he can stay healthy and climb the ladder.
I believe his assignment is listed as a rehab on the Giants' roster. He won't be there long, unless he really stinks, then they would just change his status from rehab to active.

Snell had his first rehab over the weekend in SJ. He threw 4 perfect (no hit?) with an immaculate 1st. He is scheduled for 1 Sacto start before getting activated.

I missed that start. I just saw him on SJ's roster yesterday. I guess that they haven't officially moved his rehab to Sacramento yet.
