Birdsong (2022, Round 6) had quite a debut for San Jose tonight, two innings, six K's, one hit, no walks, no runs.

Also in San Jose, Hilson hit his first low-A home run.

And as has been pointed out, Schmitt hit two bombs tonight for Richmond, a solo shot and an EWS. Reportedly, one of those homers has yet to land. This gives Schmitt 20 home runs this season across two levels.

Luis Matos (Eugene) went 3-5 tonight with 1 HR, 2 RBI, and 1 run scored. Since 8/1, he has recorded 33 hits in 106 at-bats (.311 batting average) as he looks poised to finish the season on a high note

Roupp had another excellent start in Richmond.

6 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 W, 10 K

And Schmitt went 3-4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI and is now hitting .373 in a renowned pitchers' league. His OPS is 1.047. It's only 75 AB, but what a great start at this level!

He has been a stud all year. I am not worried about 1 start. Especially this late in the season.

He had 8 starts and excelled in San Jose, and was quickly moved up to Eugene, where he has not exactly dominated, but has shown flashes. I would not be surprised at all if he moves to Richmond (AA) next year.
