Jesus. This keeps getting worse and worse.

Hopefully Bostic brings a spark.

This "next man up" stuff is getting a little ridiculous.

Well, I guess it's Bostic's turn. I haven't seen him look very good in his little bit of regular season play, but now would be a great time for him to step it up and look impressive.

why do you say that? I thought he played pretty solidly. Perfect, no, but in general I was pretty happy with him.

This has to be the most starters we have lost on the defense in 3 weeks in Bears history.

In 2002 and 2007 I'm pretty sure we lost the whole damned defense in the first month of the season. lol, Those two seasons SUCKED.

maybe it's just me but the guy is the invisable man. I have not seen him make the smallest difference or any big plays. Total non factor. Hey maybe I'm spoiled by MLB,s like BU. Everyone is

I think he was just getting his legs under him.

...and in the Detroit game, he rarely saw the field, as they chose to run the Nickel on 75% of the plays.

It,s time to rebuild the D anyway, so the young guy getting some playing time will be a good thing. He may have just been getting his legs back like you said. But the future is Bostic and we need to see this season if he can handle the job or not.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for seeing this kid play...he seems legit. I just hate losing the depth, and I think Williams is more game-ready than Bostic, right now.

I agree with that (game ready now) but this way Bostic will be game ready sooner, were gonna have many new faces next year, so Bostic getting a early jump on things may work out as a blessing in disguise in the long run.

The only problem there, is the coaches say he's still making mistakes in practice. Which usually transitions to game day.
I'm all in for seeing the young guys play. Just hate to see them lose a game for us.

Its gonna be different with bostic starting the game and coming in the third quarter. But he was called two out of the first three plays. Its like alot of guys said, let Bostic move in and take over the position and never give it back. He has the mean streak singletary had and long has. I dont see much more out there unless Briggs can come free.

What happened to Anderson? Costanza was out there in the fourth., Was he also hurt?

I dont agree with DJ playing well at all. Pittsburg was his best game? the steelers had 70 yards rushing in their first two games, got 90 on DJ and the bears with 400 yards passing. He was not ready to start the year. He should have been given time to get his legs under him and not gotten to speed the first two games.

Its fine with me, let them say DJ williams replaced Urlacher, takes that pressure off of Bostic.

5 tackles, 2 sacks and a FF is not a horrible stat-line for the Pittsburgh game?

Either way, it's another blow to the depth chart.

Anderson sustained a back injury Thursday, and is listed as Questionable ftr.

I'm not sure what the DJ Williams hate is for. He played excellently against Pittsburgh and Cincy, and okay the other three-plus games. I'm glad that Bostic is getting a chance to prove himself, but DJ was better than I thought he'd be.

I thought Bostic looked good in place of Williams. He was in on many plays and seemed yto always be around the ball. His speed is going to be his biggest asset to the team right now.
