Wanted to hear from different fans if their teams were committed in the offseason and addressed their weaknesses?

So did your team solve its issues and why??

The Ravens had a few weaknesses last year that were exploited time and again. Our most glaring weakness was at cornerback and safety. While we had 6 cornerbacks on IR by the playoffs its not an excuse for not having depth or talent in wait; regarding the safety position we lacked talent and depth. In line behind that issue was at Tight end with the recurring injury to Dennis Pitta and trade of Owen Daniels it was now a deficit.

Ravens solutions:
Cornerback--- with a healthy Jimmy Smith and hopefully La. Webb we have our starting cb's but adding Kyle Arrington to the slot was a major upgrade for us from last year. We also added depth from Detroit Cassius Vaughn to give the Ravens supply of talent with experience. In the draft the Ravens picked up Tre Walker int the 6th round big and strong we shall see if he develops.

I would give the Ravens a B.

Safety--The Ravens picked up Kendrick Lewis from Houston and with Will Hill coming back for a full year is a huge upgrade to Matt Elam who has been a 1st round disappointment to date. I would also say that Terrence Brooks before injury was coming around he is back as well.

I would give the Ravens an A for the upgrade from last year with Will Hill and Lewis starting.

Tight End:
The Ravens picked up MAxx WIlliams in the draft stealing him from the Steelers it was written and supposedly the best pass catching TE in the draft. He is big strong and has been doing well at the OTA's seems like a decent gamble. Crockett Gilmore at 6'6" was a backup rookie last year but came on in the Pittsburgh games scoring on Pitt twice last year including in the playoffs. Originally a blocker has been a beast this year in OTA's with good hands and seperation. Pitta is making his final comeback if he can stay uninjured he will play a big role in Trestmans offense but a gamble to say the least.

I give the Ravens B+

As an after thought with the trade of Torrey Smith the Ravens picked up Perriman in the draft who only missed one ball in OTA's and rookie camp. His hands are subject but his speed is what we missed running a 4.2. They also drafted Waller out of Georgia Tech at 6'6" is doing fantastic early and is being recognized as a really smart player with great hands and route running.

C for replacing Torrey Smith until Perriman and other rookies prove themselves.

Ravens easily get an A overall IMO and prob. an A+ for the draft.

The team addressed need after need and got ridiculous value for every draft pick. Maxx Williams (TE need since Pitta gets injured), Davis replaces Ngata and had 1st round talent, Allen fills Pierce, Perriman fills Smith. I mean jesus... talk about perfectly replacing everyone and with great talent.

Then free agency wise, the Ravens shored up the secondary while retaining Jimmy Smith who played well. They found some replacements for Ngata and while he's gone the Ravens were going to release him anyway, so the fact they got some picks is just icing on the cake.

Ravens were easily the clear cut winners from this offseason. Anyway, done sucking Baltimore's junk...

Seahawks I felt did well. Solid B+ overall. They addressed pass rushing weakness via the draft, got a replacement at more better cost for Maxwell (not as good, but good enough), got HUGE help on the WR side of the ball with Graham and Tyler Lockett, and Lockett gives one of the worst return units in the NFL some desperate help.

Seattle gets an A for addressing the pass rush/specialist area (CB/WR) but a C for addressing the O-Line. Unger is injured often so whatever for that trade, but only filling in holes with some mid round O-Line picks (4th/5ths) while not signing some cheaper vets for depth/competition is ridiculous. Yes they addressed it and Seattle's backups who will start this season played well enough for Seattle last year since most of their starters were out.

Seattle B in the draft. Some reaches but everything filled a need. Seattle B in Free Agency. Acquired Wilson a huge target, got some depth on D-Line, found a replace for Maxwell, failed to get much help on O-Line.

FO moves, A-. Promoting Kris Richards who has done a brilliant job as Seattle's secondary coach and understands Seattle's entire scheme was smart. Richards will try hard and take advantage of the opportunity coordinating a loaded D. Bringing in an outside coordinator would be an auto C- or lower considering that coordinator may just try to float through the season on the back of a great defensive personnel.

Seahawks weaknesses - OL/WR/KR

Offensive Line - Seattle picked up three 4th round or later linemen in the draft after losing 2 starters (Unger is a sort of since he's been so injury prone the last two years). These could turn out to be great, but I imagine we'll see much the same as in the past. Slightly above average run blocking that will benefit from a tough RB who breaks tackles and gets extra yards and an opportunistic running QB. The pass blocking will still be a work in progress, which will lead to many of those opportunistic running yards.

Did they address? No. I am not sure how much they can address the need with the current scheme, the line is what they want it to be.

Wide Receiver - Adding Jimmy Graham to TE will help with this immensely. Getting Lockett in the third round should bring an element of quickness to the offense that just hasn't been there.

Did they address? Yes. Though a majority of the WRs are the same, the group now includes 4 promising 1st and 2nd year players along with Baldwin and Graham. To take it a step further - if Luke Willson continues to develop, he's gonna be a threat at TE as well.

Kick Returns - Seattle was just abysmal at the return game last year. Lockett will most likely fill in here, and should be an immediate upgrade to what the Hawks had last season.

BAL...not sold on Arrington as a difference maker @ slot, but those are fair grades on the needs. I might go C+ on CB because the draft pick has to be viewed as a project right now.

Steelers...CB, OLB, DT, TE, S, RB

IMO...CB...need starting caliber players outside and inside. Cortez Allen makes a big comeback and becomes the #1 CB they're paying him to be. Drafted Golson, Ole Miss 2nd rd...some draftniks felt it was a reach to take him this early. Of course the pads have not come on yet, but the early reports in OTAs...this kid will see significant snaps come Sept and might end up being the 3rd CB playing the slot.

Grant, OSU, 4th rd...they left taller players on the board, but they like his ball hawking ability...probably a depth guy this year, but should be ready to take over for Gay at worst be the 4th CB next year.

B+

OLB...need a starting caliber player...re-signed James Harrison and Moats...both will factor this year in the 4 to 6 sack range. Drafted Bud Dupree, KY 1st round...probably the most athletic player the Steelers have taken at OLB/DE in quite some time...Will back up the LOLB this year and take over in '16.

B

DT...need depth. Drafted LT Walton 6th rd C. Mich...There's a good chance he makes the 53, but probably won't be active.

C

TE...need depth, develop to starter talent...Drafted Jesse James, 5th rd, Penn St. Fits the mold of Heath Miller, has the size, etc. noted to be a good blocker...will likely make the 53.

C

S...need depth, develop to starter talent...I really felt they would go SS in the 3rd rd...they took a big WR there instead. Drafted Gerod Holliman 7th rd Louisville...great stats for a 7th rd pick, but noted to be a soft tackler...his ST play might determine his fate.

D

RB...need depth. Will Bell out for 3 games, Josh Harris will need some help. Signed via FA...DeAngelo Williams...great pick up...perfect complement to Bell.

B+

For the Broncos it is very hard to grade in the sense more has changed such as coaching and schemes on both sides of the ball so who miight have been a weakness in the old scheme and coaching staff could be a difference maker this year and vise versa.

Now just look at the positions from last year...

Offensive Line--This was the biggest question mark heading into the off season and probably still is at this point. The Broncos have devoted a lot to this position though with 4 draft picks in the past 2 years with some of them being premium picks while also trading and bringing in some different FA's. The biggest difference though could be the new coaching staff as they put an emphasis on the OL being very technically sound and working well together.

Right now have to give this group an incomplete as the team will be depending on some guys that haven't taken a snap in the NFL so hard to tell how they will do.

Safety--We lost Rahim Moore and replaced him with Darian Stewart. I would consider this a pretty lateral move at this point. The other option the Broncos are floating around is that of moving our 1st round pick Bradley Roby to safety since our CB depth is one of the strongest on the team. If the Broncos do that then I would give the upgrade an A. If they stick with Darian Stewart I have to give it a C at this point.

ILB--This group is just as tough to tell as that of OL. Last year we had this position decimated by injury. With the switch in scheme though it is hard to tell what this group will really look like. Trevathan and Marshall will get first crack at it and both when starting have been very quality players for the Broncos but that was at WLB in the 4-3. Again incomplete grade on this one as just don't know how the guys will do with a position switch.

Overall the Broncos off season was a pretty quiet one. They lost some talent to FA for sure but possibly got the biggest boost in just switching up coaching staffs. Draft wise I would say this is one of the better that Elway has done adding to our already strong pass rush, adding to the OL with two guys that could be starting, and a couple of other guys with some high potential to be playmakers...probably not this season but down the road.

Got Bigger and Better on the Oline with Sherff, and cutting the Olay right side of the Line....
Got better Options at CB and Safety.....

My Viking's were a mixed bag.

Areas upgraded that needed upgrading:
LB: FINALLY have a plan to replace Greenway as one of our main LB's with the selection of Kendricks in the 2nd round. Should have been done 2 years ago so we could have saved a ton of now wasted money.
CB: Waynes should upgrade our #2 CB spot sooner rather than later.
Deep WR: Jennings just didn't fit what we needed from a WR any longer. By essentially swapping Wallace with Jennings, we got the vertical threat we needed in the Norv offense.

Areas where nothing much was done:
OG: Right now we have a career backup (Joe Berger) slated to be a starting G. I think they are hoping Clemmings taken in the 4th round might be able to help out but time will tell on that one. I have my doubts. My guess is that they look at the training camp cuts pretty closely this year at that position.
S: Still didn't upgrade the safety spot opposite Harrison Smith. Signed Taylor Mays but I have my doubts that is an upgrade there too.

This is the Vikes final season in a college stadium. I was sort of expecting them not to do too much on the FA market because of cash problems and they did more or less sit on their hands. My guess is that next year is when they really look to make a splash in the FA market with all that new stadium money.

Atlanta had too many holes to fix everything they needed to fix. I think Quinn has done a pretty good job in the short period of time he's had though.

I would be worried about the Oline they picked up......They got our RT and RG that have been terrible the last 2 years or more!!! Hell..Pollumbus the RT got benched 1/2 thru the season......both Pollumbus and Chester had to major in OLAY in college...the offered no resistance to the defense....they may not be starters...but 1 play away from being in the game...and I believe the Oline was NOT good for Atlanta last year...These 2 weaken it!!!

Atlanta has had a lot of trouble with injuries to the offensive line the past 2 years. We had a tight end filling it at guard it was so bad at one point. The team definitely isn't perfect but when you have that many deficiencies it's understandable that not everything can be addressed.

So far Quinn's mantra has been to bring in a lot of B, C, and D grade players. Let them compete and let the chips fall where they may. Brooks Reed might be the "biggest name" they signed for the entire offseason and you're probably thinking to yourself "who in the hell is that?".

The Jets really didn't... They still have a HUGE questionmark at QB, and they don't have a legitimate #1 RB... everything else they did a great job... But how good can they be with such a questionable offense(even if their defense becomes the best in football)...
