Did UCFs push to claim they belong in the playoff take a hit today?

Did Wake beating Memphis put a dent in the claims by some that UCF belongs in the playoff? ND beat WF by 29 at home and Clemson beat them by 60 at their place. I like UCF and been to a few of their games with friends so this is not a shot at them. Im just bored and half drunk. Figured I might be a few good responses.

The AAC is looking like hot garbage. UCF is the champion of that shit pile of a conference. That's their claim to fame right now and it's just not enough to deserve a playoff bid.

ND also beat Pitt by 5 and UCF beat Pitt by 37. Transitive property doesn't work too well in football which is why "common opponents " is a stupid criteria

Wake Forest gift wrapped Memphis two TDs, had to play their backup QB, and one of the best receivers in the nation in Greg Dortch didn't play and still beat one of the better AAC teams.

I think App St will out grow that conf in a season or two.. They have been solid for years now and even tho they have 2 losses.. a 10 pt loss to PSU was still a good showing for them.

To answer the OP.. I say YES UCF took a big hit of sorts.. They are better than all the teams they face in their conf for the most part in the AAC..Yet they have struggled vs some of those teams and allowed tons of yards. But with these teams losing to the likes of Wake.. It gives more cred to the notion MANY teams could do what they did In their conf. Army scoring 70 points?? I knew they were decent vs OU but 70???
