Looks like the Mariners have promoted pitcher Edwin Diaz, who has been throwing well in the minors.

Looks like Cody martin was sent back down... Diaz throws 100+ mph! Be interesting to see how he does w/ him coming from AA straight to the ML's...

He began to blossom once he was converted to the bullpen rather than a starter... 11.2 innings, 3 hits, 0 ER's, 2 BB, 16 K's... That's smokin', yet it is just AA so we'll see how that translates here...

Ya he never developed the 3rd pitch needed to become a good starter so to the pen you go. I think the move was great for him, but you never like to see your #1 prospect converted to a reliever.

I guess we can just but some vet starters and use Diaz, Paxton, and Walker in the pen.

Felix DL stint ends on 6/12 so we should have him back for the series against the Rangers...
