Please make it happen, we have to look out for the welfare of his mother. Hardy went to the right team.

It's so stupid when players do this. They are going to play. No NFL player has ever sat out a regular season..... it would DESTROY their chances of signing elsewhere for big money the following year (out of football a season, likely out of condition, older, and HUGE attitude/ethic concerns).

Whatever, Dez will play this season despite a new contract or not.

I wish more teams would just say, "k whatever...." kind of like Seattle is doing with Michael Bennett.

Joey Galloway sat out 10 weeks back in the late 90's. The only reason he came back was because a player has to suit up for at least six weeks to count as a season played and not delay his free agent eligibility. Dumb move on his part.

Thats not true. Emmit Smith did it to Jones in 1993 for the first 2 games of the season. The Cowboys started 0-2 and Smith was signed to a record contract. Then they went on to win the SB. 1993 Review: Smith's Holdout and Other Distractions Lead to 0-2 Start - Know Your Dallas Cowboys|Know Your Dallas Cowboys

They need to pay Dez and end this now. I mean they are going to sign him long term when they can't tag him anymore anyway. May as well do it now while he is younger.

Ermm, guess I meant to type "An entire regular season" although let me know if I'm wrong. It would indeed be a very rare event that's for sure.

Not that I know of but from what I have seen he has only threatened missing the season opener, not the season.

If he really wants to make a point, he should just not show up to the Seahawks game to show them that he means business! Anybody got his agents's #?

I was going to bring up this same example.. kudos on your memory. Sean Gilbert sat out an entire season as well.
I don't see it happening, but if Dez sits out the Season the Cowboys are screwed.

Is he practicing?
To sit out, get your contract, then be immediately injured because you are not in football condition, would be really dumb.....

And it is usually done by hot-headed divas......
Dez has the perfect leverage here. Cowboys are counting on back ups and a often injured RB to carry the load that Murray shouldered. I was shocked they didn't draft a RB. Now the Cowboys really really need Dez. He could just sit out until they show him the money. Shouldn't take more then 3 games IMO.

Meh. This isn't the 60's where the guys are sitting on their asses until training camp. I'm sure Dez will be in prime condition when he does show up. The timing might be an issue but conditioning won't.
