This is where Jerry is a real dipchit. All that running through the Cowboys defense does not happen if they would have went after Wagner.
I don't know, you could be right. I tend to think differently here. I think it's more about the cash and stats for Wagner. Washington fits for that.

as to Tyron...this man played team football from the start. Played for less and played at a HOF level. So many cowboy fans viewed him more like a Chase Young type, sitting out with a blister.

the OP remains fucked up. Can not fix stupid.

their cap maneuvering is absolutely dreadful having looked at how they handled a few deals

they already passed their swing and miss years on this Dak deal... This is his last year and they still owe 95 million of his 126 guaranteed. He has a full dead cap hit of 40 million coming next year. So Jerry will have to pay that out and extend Dak so they can spread that out better

But Michael Gallup also has 14 million dead cap left. Yikes.
A GM that knows how to maneuver the cap is one of the most valuable assets in this league

Yah, Snead (Rams) really showed that. I thought the Rams would be F'd after their Super Bowl with all that cap, but nope... ripped the Band-Aid off, maneuvered it a bit, and BAM, right back in the hunt lol. Now nailing the draft last year helped and losing the best DT in NFL history will hurt, but still... that was some next level GM'ing. I know McVay gets all the credit, but Snead should too.

i wonder if 8M for Wagner woulda been better than 3.5 for Kendricks?

Dallas won the division last year. Jerry is pushing towards 25.
I actually like Kendrick over Wagner move. Myself.

No new deal for Dak likely a FA for 2025

With the 40 mil dead cap already there that's an interesting approach for an owner publicly stating he's the guy

He was a great offensive tackle, in his first five seasons........... no doubt
But in his last eight seasons (in regular season games), he's only started 64% of his games.

In his last four seasons, he's only started 47% of his regular season games.
He started only 30 games out of a possible 64 regular season games.
in 2020 he started two games...........in 2022 he started four games

in 13 seasons he's only had four seasons starting every regular season game. .....(4 out of his 5 first seasons)

How great is some player, if he's hurt half the time?
He was the 2nd best LT in the NFL last year, probably the most important position other than QB

If so, they have to let him walk. On the open market, his agent will drive the price up $10M per over what he would command today. If they don't let him walk and sign him next year, it's the worst move ever. I know one thing, if they are not going to extend him, Bo Nix is in play for the Cowboys in round 1 in the Hoop Mock Draft lol

It'll be hilarious after the success of Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons that some sucker franchise will think they can do the same thing with Dak.:dhd:

In his last five seasons, he's only started 48% of his regular season games.
He started only 39 games out of a possible 81(?) regular season games.
in 2020 he started two games...........in 2022 he started four games
This season, he probably won't play in the last seven games.

I was curious because of the victory lap I thought maybe I misread what is in the first time.

Turns out nope, not a single comment in the entire thread that claims he is not injury prone. Dude is out here celebrating a win over literally zero people.

It might be the saddest thing on the internet tonight.

I do kind of agree that in retrospect, Tyron Smith was overrated as a OT. He had a few very good years but wasn’t a great player. But injuries and injury-prone-ness were always issues.
