Congrats Marty!

In regards to that draft, holy crap were there a lot of late round steals.

Bondra and Nemchinov as mentioned. Robert Lang, Zubov, Zhamnov, Smehlik Gono Odjik, and Craig Conroy were all round four or later. Heck even Slava Kozlov was 3rd round.

It was a deep draft...just some bad early picks.

Got my tickets for 2/9 so I'm good to go.

I think it would be a tremendous touch if the Devils called his son up (or signed a one day deal) to backup just for that game.

At least the Pens took Jgar in the first round, because the rest of the draft sucked for them.

Congrats to one of the all time greats. I hated to see him on the ice, but loved to watch him play.

You mean Tim Fingerhut didn't have a good career?

Tamer and Moran played over a thousand games combined in the NHL, that's good return for where they were drafted.

The Devils are rolling the dice waiting until next February to retire Marty's jersey. I guess they're confident that the Blues won't pull an Avalanche and beat them to the punch.

Well, what is to prevent the Avalanche from retiring his jersey themselves? Not meeting the proper conditions under which a jersey should be retired hasn't stopped them before.
