2. You predicted 90+ wins for the Tigers in 2015....but you have convinced yourself that you didn't.
3. You predicted 90+ wins for the Tigers in 2015....and you are willing to admit that you were wrong.
4. You predicted 90+ wins for the Tigers in 2015....but you can't be blamed! It was someone elses' fault.
5. You predicted 90+ wins for the Tigers in 2015....but you had a lot of IF's attached.
6. You predicted 90+ wins for the Tigers in 2015....and you realize you know crap and now understand why management and coaches don't bother to listen to fans or read stupid baseball forums and blogs!

Tigers DFA Daniel Fields.

Cespedes opens door to sign with Mets this winter.

Avila trades VMart and $10mil to the White Sox for John Danks and Adam LaRoche. Save $14 mil after letting Danks and LaRoche walk after one year. (Or trade at deadline if they actually have any value)

DickMc is at Comerica this week - picking out his playoff seats. RIGHT field stands, of course.

I don't get why the Tigers would DFA a 24 year old Fields for a 34 year old scrub like Josh Wilson.. I guess Vice was on to something about keeping these scrub AAAA old players in the organization and hurting the younger talent..

I have not convinced myself 100% yet....maybe 88% convinced, but.......Time to look into trades for Jose Iglesias. Sell high!. Currently injured - again. Not a fast healer and does not seem to want to tough out injuries. Hot dog tendencies too. He is hanging on to a .300 BA (barely) but that comes off a .330 BABIP. His offensive numbers are a little empty (might have been better if batting 2nd in order more often) so his oWAR is low. Yes - a gifted fielder, but unless the front office is going to go all out to sign ground ball pitchers, perhaps Iglesias could be a trade candidate. If he could bring a heavy hitting outfielder or 3B, I'd listen to offers. Sweet fielding SS might be too big of a luxury for a team that will be trying to dig themselves out of the cellar. Arms and bats!

Wilson will be DFA or released at the end of the season too. Danny Fields had his shot. Did not have it. Alos - Iglesias is hurt - they need an infielder more than an of, I guess

I also hate the argument that no manager would do better with this team.. Yes this team is trash, but I think it would have been .500 or better under Leyland.. You can't tell me the 2010 team was way more talented than this one.. 2010 Detroit Tigers Batting, Pitching, & Fielding Statistics | Baseball-Reference.com
Look at the trash that was on that team offensively.. An old Johnny Damon, Will Rhymes, Ryan Raburn and the great Ramon Santiago. Not to mention an over the hill Maggs

If the manager makes or breaks a team - shouldn't the good ones get paid as much as the best players?

I don't think Ausmus made the team.. I just think he accounted for around 5-8 losses this season.. Which means he is subpar.. Not a huge difference, but noticeable..

Brennan Boesch lol. I'll never forget when ds_879 (annoying Tigers fan on ESPN) thought he would be a star and kept arguing he was better than Heyward.

edit: He actually posted on here for a bit before being banned for being a huge douchenozzle.

that 2010 Tigers staff was Verlander, Scherzer (before he figured things out, but was still pretty good), and a bunch of mediocrity.

The kid has a broken finger... show me a guy that can tough out a broken finger and still hit... please.... show me.

He got hit by a pitch on his hand... Its not like there was much he could do about it.
