In all seriousness I think the Tigers can do it this season, wild card maybe. I have been a Tigers fan since 1969 when I watched my first Tigers game on tv. I grew up 92 miles from Detroit so I lived in Tigers Country til I was 21. Watched the boys have losing seasons almost from the start, but since what, like 2008 or 09, ''correct me if i'm wrong on the years, I smoke a lot of weed and I used to drink a lot'' the Tigers have been winners. I can't give up on them yet

Of course they can still do it.

Win the Wild Card game and run the table.

Only a complete idiot wold be giving up on them.

Gonna be tough road to a winning record with no Miggy till midAugust and bad starting pitching. Not to mention the bullpen.

I'm just glad Jack Morris isn't in the booth tonight. Couldn't take much more of that. Welcome back HotRod!

(Also happy to see Kinsler square one up. Good sign.)

:hope: It's going to be an uphill battle Smitty

Exactly!

He kept saying "we". Screw that. I was at Tiger Stadium the first time he pitched against "us". I was prolly 10 or 11. He chose to leave, and id like him to stay out of the booth.

(Cuz he sucks and is boring. Twins can keep him. Or the Jays or Injuns or whoever he usually works for.)

Castellanos? What a POS. All he does is make costly errors.

Castellanos the butcher....

Frazier could be the savior

along with a traded for 4th starter and a set-up man
Go West and you'll find them

there's magical things that happened last night
haven't been able to put a finger on it, just yet

I'd be all about Todd joining his brothers former franchise!

Pick up Mike Leak for the 4 spot while we're workin em.

But if we're out West, Kazmir is my guy. See what they want for Clippard(cleeves wants him e'ry year) while we're at it. Saw on theMs board they fear Furbush could be moved. Id love that.

There was magic in the air last night, even if it brought out the blonds, I'm not complaining.

:tsk:

he's young and could be that innings eater but I don't see him becoming anything more than an average #3 for next year once Price is gone. He's an option though and can't toss him out completely. Frazier and Leake somehow as a combo would be appealing.

But if we're out West, Kazmir is my guy

I balked at this, at first thought, then I came around to some sense. He's perfect for the stretch as he'll manage around 6 IP per start, great WHIP, plus he doesn't give up the round tripper all too often. Pitching at the Collesium shouldn't be any different than at Comerica. Should we get to WC he'd be a great balance to Hardy and could be that long reliever should Price, JV or Anibal have trouble early on in any start.

hated to see him go but loved getting Fister. I'd take the Bush back in heartbeat.

I'm in the same boat. I really wanted him this past year as a seup man or possible closer just in case Soria falters.

If not Clippard, I think he'd be easier to get from Billy, than I'd try for F-Rod. The downfall to F-Rod is he can be a headcase. The huge PLUS in F-Rod is he has experience in pressure situations and playoff experience.

Also, by possibly acquiring Kazmir, that would be a good addition to the rotation in 2016 as our #3 SP. He buy some time for a year or two at least.

I just don't see any way DD would be able to sign Price. It is known how much Price has an affinity for playing for Maddon. I see him either as a Cub next year or maybe at Chavez Ravine. The latter for the simple fact they'd probably thrown Major $$$ to get him should they falter this year.

Our farm system blows when it comes to ready for the Sho arms, IMHO.

I'd say it's aboot even money he's a Cub next year.

But if Greinke doesn't stay with the Bums, Price could get almost as much as Kershaw from them. Not often that two of the three best lefties in the game are on the same staff. (The other is stuck on the SouthSide for a little longer.)

Tigers are a piece of shit.

Time to fire Ausmus, release Soria and Rondon and blow up the team.

Rondon, that fat piece of shit--how did he ever get out of AA?

Soria, what a punk. Release that piece of shit and eat what's left on his contract.

don't fret GENTS...

DD at his all time best

After meltdown, Tigers get relief help
12m
Detroit signed former Rangers closer Neftali Feliz, a day after its bullpen allowed 7 runs in the 9th. Feliz was let get by Texas a week ago after he blew 3 of 9 save opportunities.
