I think that is part of the MLBPA rules for teams regarding this. I don't think they are supposed to disclose what it was.

rails or visiting Bob Marley without leaving the country is pretty much where I was at. I'd think it'd be more if it was Scar Facing.

kind of where I was guessing. Chen at 30 with a WHIP near 1.20, younger, less IP seems to be a better gamble for 2M more per year than Iwakuma, imo solely. There were rumors of trying to trade for Iwakuma back before DD got the boot, so there's that. maybe it was Avila's thought process all along, idk.
Its not about the money this year.. its about the fact they would be locked into another starter for 4+ years with a large contract. 2 mil is nothing... Its the 75-85 mil they would be handing out that makes it a no go.

Jacoby Jones sucks by the way. He is never going to do shit in the MLB. His ability to see pitches makes Moya look like Miggy.

he's been a problem child going back to his days at LSU when he whined about being removed from SS to 2B to outfield. He claims he's a legit SS. I got nothing to substantiate that with one way or the other

Tigers would be lucky if Jacoby Jones comes back after his 50 game suspension and hits a bunch of HR in AA so they can trade him at the deadline for something useful. The kid isn't going to amount to anything.

and if Sanchez doesn't fit any longer he may be seeing the LOW road.

He is a legit SS.. defensively he can play anywhere... his approach at the plate is retarded though.

We will see in the next few weeks if Sanchez medical reports are positive. Avila will be aggressive with adding another arm if they are not for sure. If they are positive... don't be surprised to see them focus on the pen.

He makes Castellanos look like Ted Williams.

Castellanos actually adjusted nicely after July. His OBP was nearly 50 points higher after the All Star break. I wouldn't be surprised to see Castellanos hit .300 next year... Although I also wouldn't be surprised to see him hit .240 either.

STOP drankin' the sizzurp, Vice. come back to reality. Jamarcus Russell lives by me not you. I should be drankin' that kool-aid but I don't/won't

tbh, back to back years Nicky did have upticks in BA and OBP so there's always a chance. I just won't be biting on that.

You can never have enough starting pitching but you can't break the bank. The guy I would like to see have a comeback year is Greene.... he was hurt last year and had surgery.

After reading about Greene's injury I think it had a lot to do with his sudden drop off in performance. I think he tried to hide it and pitch through it and ended up costing himself and the team. I think the Tigers have lots of legit #5 options in house. The only way they should worry about another starter is if they are not ok with Sanchez's medical reports or if they get a great deal. I would much rather see them add to the bullpen depth at this point. If the Royals can win with the shit bags they had at the back end of their rotation last year.. it goes to show how far bullpen depth can take you.

If Vmart gets back to hitting... and there is no reason why he won't... The Tigers lineup can be one of the better ones in the league as is. 2 players that really are the key to the Tigers 2016 season are Vmart and Sanchez... if they bounce back and are healthy... the Tigers are going to be a good team.

rumor on the Freep was that he was seeking 10M per year deal. good luck on that. but then again the money spilled out to Happ and Zimmerman seems inflated.
