Well, Nathan sorta looks like he's back, back to the future? Hey, JV will make some NEW adjustments tomorrow, will it work? I doubt it.

Anyone getting a false sense of security with JD in the 5 hole? Is it a hot streak or is there sustainable power there? He might finally be figuring out the hitting but he is nowhere near a 300 hitter at any other time. Stellar in minors not the bigs.

I am holding on to negativity and refusing to allow his hot steak to change me. I also miss Fister.

Encouraging that he's hit a few of his HRs to right field, but I just say ride the hot streak while you can. He's a .260 major league hitter at best.

Suarez was nice for a few games also, with a 2-18 cold streak he is heading right in the Romine direction with less defense.

Nathan sucks balls. They should give him back to Minnesota.

Coke sucks almost as bad as Nathan. They have to sign another pitcher before the playoffs.

Coke had good stuff tonight. Even the hit was a good pitch. Thank God for Miggy.

I question Ausmus not warming up someone in the 9th, with Nathan closing his third straight game. The hit by Murphy was a lucky bat sling, but after Nathan crested 20 pitches he struggled to put guys away. I understand Brad not wanting to use Joba, though. No question he has to close today, if the Tigers need a closer.

Suarez defense is every bit as good as romines.

Nathan should not have been used yesterday... I get that it was a save situation... but trying to have a guy that was struggling pitch 3 straight days is just asking for it... Nathan was looking better and Ausmus made a rookie mistake and took some of the shine off his decent week. Tigers need to make a move for a bullpen piece as soon as they can... they are gassing all the guys that can get 3 outs to the point it will be an issue down the road.

I love some Tigers fans... Suarez is 22... and the Tigers 6th best prospect but they expect him to hit .300 plus and be rookie of the year of something... The kid is a stud defensively... which obviously the average fan can't see... and will most likely hit around .260 with a few hr... that is just fine... To see someone call for Romine after Suarez doesn't have all star numbers for a few games is just funny. There isn't anyone out there outside of maybe Ben Zobrist that would be an upgrade and I doubt the Tigers want to dump decent prospects for Zobrist unless they plan on using him in the outfield next year.

Sure that was directed at me....
Instead showing up every 3 weeks read through the posts. When Suarez was hitting .400 I said do not give this kid a day off until he comes back to earth. Which he has. 2-18 He is not a defensive stud by no means. I also said a future of him and Iggy in the middle would be nice. Although there is a nice 2nd base prospect in the minors.

I called for a day off putz. That is all. Iggy would not be hitting .300 either so I was already to see a defensive non hitting SS all season.

So someone post that Phil's ERA in his 7 appearances prior to last night's was 3.57. It went down even more last night. Still not a Phil fan, but credit where credit is due.

He is a defensive stud... read the scouting reports and watch a game.. that is what his calling card was... he was supposed to be a legit defensive ss that might hit a little... never was a great hitter at any level until this season... Maybe you should try actually reading about the prospects instead of going off the few articles written by mlive on them here and there and what you see over the course of two weeks.

dont post here more because I own 3 businesses and don't have time... if i could i would love to... but trust me... I guarantee I follow the Tigers farm more than anyone here... I have been to spring training every year for the last 11 years and seen prospects in person that you probably wont even know about until mlive writes about them 2 years from now.
