Yep...his days of being a dominant player are over I'm afraid. Extremely explosive player in his prime, but we shouldn't be talking about his prime in past tense @ 27...his legs just couldn't hold up to the NBA grind.

He played in the last pre-season game for 10 min so he is still trying to get back physically and got thrown into the regular season. He is still also not 100% with his vision so I take the sample size with a grain of salt. He will never be the same player he was pre ACL injury but he can still be an effective PG in the league

The Cavs lost 2 games in the East.

Both of those losses were to the Bulls.

In one of those games Rose went for 25, 5, 5

the other Rose went 30, 7 and 7,

-in both of those games I think he was the best player on the Bulls- outplaying Butler. -and of course he hits the game winner in that 2nd win where he probably outplayed LEBron. It would be hard for me to get rid of him seeing as he is a Chicago guy and was just so beloved just a couple years ago- and proved in the playoffs he still has what it takes from time to time to be able to put a team on his back.

Now Rose might not be able to do that for 4 games of a 7 game series- but how many guys can? 21 million a year is not going to be such a huge number pretty soon in the NBA. I think he gotta keep Rose.

Who knows when the next time the Bulls will be in position to add a player like him. Those guys are not that easy to find. Chicago had been hunting in free agency forever and the best guy they added was Carlos Boozer for years until Pau came around- and its not like Pau signed in his prime.

I think Butler and Rose can without a doubt play together and win together at a high level. They just have the bad luck to play in the same era as LeBron.

Irrelevant stat. Lebron got past Rose and the Bulls in 2011 when Lebron was with the Heat. You could say Lebron is 0-1 against Dirk in the Finals, 1-2 against Duncan. But bringing up Lebron has never won when Rose is healthy is an aberration. The way Rose's career is going, nobody will be able to win a ring when Rose is healthy...because he's never healthy.
