So should we look at a major name like Snell? OK he's a rental, let's take a shot? Price might not be that bad because of it.

The Puds are in full sale mode. They put Soto on the block as well.

I could seriously think about putting a package together around Luciano if Soto and/or Snell were the prize.

Soto sure but not for 2 months of Snell

Snell only? Sure, I can agree that is too much for that.
Oh so like a package that gets us both of them..with Luciano.what else would we likely have to include probably Bart and Ramos too I'd think minimum, perhaps a pitcher or 2 (Winn, etc)

I am horrible at putting together trades, but sure, I will embarrass myself…

Soto only has 1 more season of control (he is an Arb4 in ‘24 after making 23m this season). Snell is a FA after this year.

Even though both are superstars, getting 1 season and 2x2months isn’t much for a ready-to-play Uber prospect. But in a seller’s market, I understand that will likely be the starting point of any negotiations.

Not sure I would like this, but maybe something like…

Luciano
Ramos
Loupp
Dabovich

4

Snell
Soto

2 ready to play prospects (1 Uber-prospect, 1 former Uber-prospect who has lost his luster) and 2 promising B prospects likely ready by ‘24.

That is a steep price, but it might give us an inside track on extending both to longer deals (not certain I would want to sign Snell to the kind of contract he would be looking for, though)

Then there's the 'will SD trade in their division' question

And I still argue that that is quite possibly the most successful trade for both teams in the history of the game. The VERY next year, MVP (Mitchell) and CY (Davis).

I don't think the Puds would trade us anyone, but who knows.

I want Bellinger.

Imagine doyerfan in the playoffs when we start Joc and Cody...

Pretty sure the Dodgers don't care what their castoffs are doing.

Marlins getting Robertson to close is not helpful to our wild card hopes. Need to see some meaningful adds from FZ

Doggies are getting Lynn and Kelly…
Good, because I think Lynn is washed and Kelly sucks

Giolito is the one I wanted from the Sox. They might deal a useful reliever like Graveman but that's the last thing we need.

Also I think we're really chasing a wild card spot not likely to beat the Dodgers for the division, unless of course FZ gets us some real help.

Maybe not the doyers, but doyerfan probably does.

Meanwhile they pick up washed Lance Lynn and mediocre Joe Kelly while Graveman goes to the Ass-tros.

LOL doyers.
