Helluva game here. 2 Late games might be best games all day.

BAMA goes down and UCLA finally grabbed the lead against BYU.

USC lost too.

Huge win for UCLA. Come November when they are trying to get into the final 4, they will look back on this win - coming from behind and finishing.

BYU is legit.

Damn Junkie, I hope our Rams game goes better than my Bruins game did tonight but if it ends in us winning by one point with a game saving Int, I'll take it.

A win is a win.

PS Cold tall boy is good and cold!

& Davis is still gone.

I did read all of the posts. Vita, SJ does have a point that has not been answered by anyone. What back-up in the NFL last year had two 300-yard passing games? Certainly Keenum didn't and Mannion... ...well he was still in college. That stat alone is very poignant. Indeed Davis is gone BUT it does point to a bigger issue and what Vita and others have stated. Fisher got rid of Davis because he didn't like the guy probably because he didn't fit Fisher's scheme and as I have stated, we shall see if Fisher made a big mistake by: a) giving up a draft choice for Keenum; and b) choosing Keenum over Davis. If Davis goes on to do big things in Cleveland, Fisher is going to look real ridiculous.

I'm not even arguing against him. I would have left him in there another game or two at the very least. I thought Hill and Davis were pretty much on par with one another but Davis had more upside. I've always thought he was not a good fit for what Fisher is trying to do however.

As far as the 300 yard+ games, Junkie has always discounted games where the QB throws for 300+ in a loss, & both of those games we lost...

But back to my point, the dude is gone.

Can we all just get along?

It ain't man love? 's u deflecting because you are
Dead ass Wrong.

Please tell me a back up that had 375 and 3 TDs versus philly last year? 300 and 2 TDs versus Dallas.

Cmon try to back your lame ass comments up with something besides "man love"

Actually, we're right. Davis got cut and he's third string once McCown is back and he's holding a clipboard behind Manziel. A top back up QB is very valuable in the NFL, so why didn't anyone trade for Davis this year? None of you can answer that because the truth is, he's not a good back up. Hell, Matt Barkley was traded for, yet your boy Davis got cut. You Davis homers make excuse after excuse for his bad play last year. He's not on the team, we have our back up QB now, move on.

First of all, this thread is about Davis, for those of you that are tired of it and want to move on, don't read anything in this thread, and then don't make comments, see how that works? Obviously this thread has gotten a lot of comments, why, because people have different opinions about it!

Ramsfan88, true Davis is 3rd string with Cleveland, why because they weren't real sure about Manzeil, but they weren't going to acquire him and move him ahead of the starter or Manziel, so he's 3rd string just by default, they picked him up because they probably thought they would eventually need him. As I've said before the NFL is full of backup QB's 90% of them will see limited action if any! There aren't many quality backups, why other teams didn't go after Davis I couldn't tell you, maybe they are content with what they have, maybe they have a young QB that they "think might" be good enough, maybe they are cheaper, I don't know. there's a lot of moves or none moves that teams make that are head scratchers ?

Cousins is looking pretty good against us right now, and while I think he is a decent QB, I think Davis still has done more than Cousins ever has. Cousins has had some decent weapons and he is 2-8 as a starter, is that a good backup? Tell me who is a quality backup?

Vita, as far as discounting the Seattle game, no Davis didn't win that game, but he didn't lose it either. He had good games against Phillly and Dallas, we lost both of those games, pretty much because the defense didn't show up! So go ahead and turn a blind eye to those facts. Davis played well enough to have the Rams at 5-3 in his starts "if" the defense shows up in those two games! As SJ says Davis showed much more than Hill ever did, Davis showed emotion, something we hadn't had forever! Davis actually made some plays and threw the ball downfield, Something we never had with Sammy! Again Davis should have finished out the year as our starter, we weren't going anywhere with Hill, and the smart thing would have been keep Davis the starter and see what he could do. Also as SJ said, Davis played against some stud defenses and faired well, Hill got to play against Oakland, please, and the defense pretty much won that game!

As far as Davis not fitting Fishers system, why has he been brought back a few times in the past? Why did he play well when he was in there?, why does Fisher do what he does, we don't know, I'm sorry but he has his favorites, no way should Wells and Joseph have continued to play every week after showing they couldn't do it, yet they still played ahead of others. The season was lost, let's see what our backup lineman could do. Hill sure as hell didn't do anything special, only makes sense to see what your younger guy can do, with a full season!

So you naysayers continue denying it, but Davis played well, better than "most" backups in this league.
Now if you're tired of this, don't respond, if you want to move on, don't respond, if you got nothing, don't respond!
Yada yada yada, blah blah blah

So you are saying that McCown is a starting caliber QB and he's valuable? What's really the difference between McCown, Manziel, and Davis?

Answer: not much

Answer: not much

Manziel (1st) and McCown (3rd) were drafted?
