Yes, it would have been impossible to over come what should have been 7-6 score after the third quarter with an average offense. How many points did an average offense Maryland put on your defense that year?
If MSU had an average offense, OSU probably would've won 24-17 or 24-20. That's also assuming our offensive gameplan would've been as conservative as it was all game. Congrats on the moral victory.

So with an average offense you are still counting on the fumble touchdown? Right. Let’s completely ignore that you had the football 15 minutes more than MSU. You wouldn’t put up one point less outside of the intentional safety if MSU has an average offense and you don’t have possession of the ball for an entire extra quarter. You definitely aren’t a homer at all.

And saying having an "average offense" would've won you the entire conference isn't homerish at all.

Newsflash - average offenses also fumble. Also, you started your first five drives after halftime from your own 5, 6, 3, 1 and 2-yard line. Not sure how you think an average offense is going to suddenly change everything in a 20 point loss in a frigid, windy game.

You don’t see how when you aren’t gifted 9 points, a defense isn’t completely gassed, and an offense moving the ball forcing you start with the ball deeper every single drive would change the game?

Again, turnovers happen to average offenses. You acting like that TD just simply gets nullified is stupid. Average offenses also punt from their 1, and the intentional safety really didn't make a difference. Who knows? Punting from the back of your endzone on a windy day could've given us the ball at the MSU 30 or better and we could've scored another TD or gotten another FG, both of which are better than a safety.

You are really reaching with these hypotheticals.

You mean like your hypotheticals on the 2015 game where if you hand the ball to a the guy who was averaging the worst ypc on the team would have suddenly changed that game?

Oh there were a lot of things other than giving it to Zeke more that needed to happen that game. For example, doing anything other than running JT up the gut on stupid draw plays. I've said on multiple occasions that we lost that game because we were out-coached and not because Zeke didn't get the ball more, so I'm not sure why you're even bringing it up.

He's going there for basketball. He's just also a really good football player as well. If you were being sarcastic, apologies.
Yeah, I know. But it's funny that their basketball recruit is higher ranked than anyone in MSU's class.

I’m trying to cut out caffeine again and just noticed I’m being a shitty human being again.

Dear lord, good luck.

So I've still never figured out why people do that. Is caffeine one of those things that has adverse effects for some and not others?

I used to drink an entire pot of coffee every morning in high school (severe insomniac and slept 2-4 hours a night). I stopped drinking any caffeine all together but for the last two weeks I have been drinking pop and it just relaxes me. Now I’m on edge and easily agitated. A few more days and I will be past it. Today’s only day three.

Well that makes sense. Still, sucks. I don't drink pop, but coffee is just wonderful.

I can feel tension leave my fingers when I drink coffee. Then I want to go to sleep because I am so relaxed.

Scoring offense

2019: 107
2018: 126
2017: 96
2016: 104
2015: 60
2014: 7

That's a pretty dramatic dropoff. How can a coach look at that and think, "we're fine!"
By believing all their opponents had out of this world defenses!
