I like the gamble but I think it's not going to work out so well. Bring him (or someone like him) in AFTER LeBron when you are building things up. Coaches are like players they have to get up to speed and LeBron has maybe 2-3 more years max you have to think.

Steve Kerr won a title his first year but he was a solid NBA player for a long time (unlike Hurley) and saw how championships were won in the NBA (5 times, Hurley 0) before being a GM for 3 years. He didn't come in cold like Hurley will.

Like I just mentioned to someone else I'm always leery of CBB coaches that make the jump to the NBA.

Lebron will listen to a coach he respects. He apparently really likes his offense.

After Hurley appeared on his and Redicks podcast in April, Lebron posted:

"He's so damn good. Along with his staff. Super creative with their O. Love it".
