COULD they win a title eventually with Hurley? Yes, but they could also win one eventually with Tom Thibodeau.

And it's not like the Lakers need help to market their team.

That's western capitalism though. Throw a ton of money at people and roll the dice.

some good points.....Sure, coaching matters, but players matter far more. Though I guess need a coach where player would be willing to go play for. Is that Hurley?

All head coaches have that first job. It's about the individual hire, not just the experience level.

Exactly...if I had to choose I think I'd sake Hurley over JJ but no reason to think JJ could not do as well as many of the retread options.

He doesn't have NBA experience, but he's a great college coach, he's known for developing players and apparently Lebron really likes his offense.

I'd much rather they hire him than Reddick

Still only had experience as a college coach pre bench coach and at much smaller school than Hurley

At least JM had some NBA coaching experience before he was name Celtics HC.

I do like Lue. Kidd impressive this year for sure, but would have seriously hesitated on him earlier.

I might even take a shot on Hurley over last years overrated name retreads (Nurse, Bud and Doc...well, for sure over Doc).
