Sorry to hear that. What a great talent he was but he just wasted it. He really hurt the Mavs during that time period because they counted on him to make them a better team. When his head was on straight and he was getting after it he was one of the best players. And because of that the Mavs counted heavily on them and he let them and himself down.

Sad, he had lots of talent but the drugs and alcohol won out

I put some of the weight on Don Carter.

Carter totally ruined the organization by coddling Tarpley, misapplying his finances to him and left the Mavs in disarray for years to come with his blind support of a guy who couldn't help himself, much less someone else.

Agree but Tarpley was their best chance to make it to the top. I mean when he won 6th man of the year award he averaged 17.1 pts and 15 reb a game. And helped them get to the Western Conference Finals.

It was Hambombs, I think. Unfortunately, HOU appears to be getting back on track.

Yup. Detroit got a lot better and I figured it would happen. Smith has a low bball IQ and was a bad fit in Detroit. I mean he should do OK on Houston but he's not a guy I would start.

Noticed the Heat beat the Clippers. They did it with their Center play. Bosh had 34 pts and 7 boards and his back up Hassan Whiteside had 23 pts and 16 boards. 50 % of their rebounds and points.

Need to have a good 4th quarter, down 3 going in. Haven't lead since midway through the 2nd

Shooting is freaking awful tonight from 3 and just about everywhere and they defend like shit as usual. This team looks bad right now and the rotation with the bigs isn't working for RC. Smith sucks and Charlie V is almost as worthless if he isn't making 3's

Missing free throws is unacceptable

Not sure what Rondo was thinking with that ill advised mid range jumper he missed. No Cousins and No gay Dallas should win it in OT but they're settling for way too many jumpers.

What an ugly, ugly, ugly overtime.

Whole game has been ugly

Even this foul after time goes off the clock, guess they're playing for a tie? If your Dallas do you foul with both teams in the bonus and a 3 point lead and make sure it's not in the act?

Man, WHAT has happened to Dirk?!?! He doesn't even resemble the old Dirk. He is way too passive and unsure of himself. I'm wondering if a lot of this standing around and watching Monta take over late in games has affected him. Dirk used to be the absolute go-to guy.

4-0 in OT this year but that one was tough to watch. Terrible shooting, did just enough to squeak it out
